We also hold monthly club days in which we shoot our novel "scene shoot" format. In the meantime, we will be seeing you in a wood somewhere very soon!

Aurora Field Archery Club is registered with the National Field Archery Society (NFAS) and we hold regular field archery competitions in our 60 acres of woodland near Chelmsford Essex. We will be announcing the date of our next shoot soon, so keep an eye on the NFAS shoot dates calendar and announcement board. Paul, Martin, Sue, Steve, and Ian

Amazing weekend at The NFAS 3D Champs in the grounds of Belvoir Castle - awesome location and woods for two perfect champs courses courtesy of Castle Bowmen and Centaura Field Bowmen - brilliant job by both teams for creating such challenging and interesting tracks - youโ€™re all amazing - thank you ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿคฉ

Conditions were gruelling at times with the heat and humidity but spirits remained high and we were all kept wonderfully fed and watered throughout by the Harlequin catering team - awesome job ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜‹

Huge thanks to the whole NFAS team led by the indomitable, indefatigable Richard Wright - I doff my hat to you Sir and everyone involved in making it happen ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ™Œ The time and effort put into these events before, during and after is immense and we truly appreciate it - thank you ๐Ÿ™

Personally Iโ€™d like to thank my incredible shooting buddies for both days - Erica, Rob, Andy and Taha - you were the best ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿคฉ

Half a dozen Auroreans made the trip and had a fantastic time and now have a National Champion and Bronze medalist in our midst ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿฅ‰

Huge congratulations to Owen on winning the Under 12 Boys Barebow crown with a fantastic performance over the two days in his first ever champs and to Kieran on securing 3rd position in Bowhunter against some very stiff completion - totally deserved reward for all the time and effort put in over the year under the tutelage of his awesome coach and honorary Aurorean Sorin who secured Silver himself in Barebow despite shooting the second day with a torn Achillesโ€ฆ beast mode engaged ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Very well done and super proud of you all ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ™Œ

Looking forward to the Nationals already ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Xx

Evening all,

At our last shoot on 10/5/26, there were 2 tabs left behind that were found on the grass in the car park.

I have them safe and sound and will be at the champs this weekend, PM and let me know if you will be there to and i will happily reunite them with you.

Kieran Grundon.

Here are the final scores on the doors ๐Ÿ˜†

Thank you to Steve for presenting the medals ๐Ÿ™

Big thanks to Kieran, Shaun, Dave and Ken for the fantastically devious course, Garry for keeping everyone fed and watered, Spencer for the fabulous target sign art, and all Aurora members who helped in any way - you are all total stars ๐Ÿคฉ

Another fabulous day at Kingโ€™s Lynn Field Archers today - always a challenging track utilising the super-interesting and varied terrain to great effect, this time notched up even moreโ€ฆ brilliant ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘

Very well done and huge thanks to everyone on the home team for making it so - from admin and marshalling to catering and of course, the course laying - top job one and all ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ

A trio of Auroreans made the trip (accompanied by Hazel - our very own and much-needed chaperone ๐Ÿคฃ) and had a great day scooping a couple of gold medals and an unseemly number of raffle prizes (how many tickets did you buy Kieran? ๐Ÿคฃ)

Thanks to Tony and Ash for being such great shooting buddies ๐Ÿ™ oh and to Sarah Cope for taking the wonderfully wonky group photo - class ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™Œ

Hereโ€™s to next time ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘
