You’ve hit the jackpot when work doesn’t feel anything like work ✨

Great couple of days at Rickard Luckin in Chelmsford and Basildon, after they treated their staff to a full week of wellbeing activities 👔💆🏽‍♀️🍿

If you want to boost morale, show your employees that they are valued and appreciated and take care of their mental and physical wellbeing, then why not organise something for your own workplace? This ticks all the boxes and treats employees to something that they actually want and benefit from when they spend long hours sitting at a desk 👩‍💻

Thank you Rickard Luckin for having me, and to my client (and the face of many of my videos 😆) for organising 💛

What a day! ✨

24 seated chair massages done at Rickard Luckin for their employees as they put on all things wellbeing for the week. Today was massages + popcorn in their beautiful offices 😍

I’m so glad that more + more employers are offering things like this to their staff to recognise their efforts 🙌. If it’s something your employer might be interested in, please get in touch 📧

Dry cupping…

One of my favourite modalities that will never get old ✨👏🏼

I A S T M aka muscle scraping ✨

Benefits :

✨ helps to break down adhesions, scar tissue and restrictions in fascia

✨ reduces muscle tension + inflammation helping to decrease pain

✨ increases range of motion of the joints + flexibility

✨ increases blood flow to help with healing + recovery

✨ releases triggerpoints

✨ slow strokes can activate the parasympathetic nervous system

The benefits are very similar to massage, so this modality works perfectly alongside it 👌🏼

Brazilian lymphatic drainage ✨

I’ve seen a lot of talk recently about whether this treatment should hurt. The answer is no! You shouldn’t be in pain for this treatment at all. This isn’t a ‘no pain no gain’ scenario.

Manual lymphatic drainage is usually a very feather light treatment, as the lymph vessels sit just 2mm under the skin. Any firmer and you the start to compress the lymphatic vessels.

Brazilian lymphatic drainage works slightly differently, in that therapists target the deeper lymph vessels as well as aiming to break down fatty deposits and cellulite etc, hoping for a more sculpted and contoured result. You might find pressure deeper on the stomach as we stimulate the digestive system too, which sits deeper under the skin.

However it is SO important to know that everyone’s results will be so different and to not be disappointed by this. Visual results depend on a few factors such as • how much lymph fluid there actually is (as opposed to body fat or a combination of the two) • how hydrated you are • how much movement you do • how much processed foods/salty foods/alcohol you have before/after treatment • how often you have treatments • how much lymphatic drainage you do at home

Even if you don’t see huge visual results after one session, lymphatic drainage is SO much more than what you can see through the skin. It’s a process, a very powerful process, but one that has so many health benefits too.

The idea isn’t to use the tools as forcefully as possible, but to use them as a helping hand to achieve optimal drainage. So if you’re worried about having a treatment because you think it’ll hurt, then you won’t find that here! If any tools feel uncomfortable, just let your therapist know and they can ease back the pressure or switch out for another wooden tool.

If you’re having this treatment before a special event or occasion, I’d recommend having it 2-3 days beforehand ✨

Spring has sprung - the start of our road looking all pretty 🌸

BUT it wouldn’t be the first day back after half term if it didn’t begin to rain at 3pm 😅

Do you agree? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly I’d have a half day massage if it were a thing. It is a lot for the body to handle but what’s your ideal duration? I’m patiently waiting for my massage therapist to trial a 2 hour massage on me 🤣. And am often asked if 90 mins is the longest is do.

What do you think? ⬇️

A little snippet of ’s dry cupping session this week, as some maintenance to keep on top of back aches and pains.

Emma teamed this with a TMJ treatment and I delivered a totally bespoke and tailored 90 min session for her, based on what she wanted and needed.

Remedial massage shouldn’t be a ‘one size fits all’ approach and you’ll always benefit more from seeing therapists who personalise treatments for your needs. You don’t necessarily need to ‘choose’ a treatment from my menu because experienced therapists will always pick and choose skills and techniques, from various treatments, that they think will be beneficial for you 🙌

There’s only one place I’d be going dressed like this, thank goodness it was still dark at 6.45pm 🤭🌚
