⭐️ Player Of The Week 8-12 years old ⭐️

This week the award went to Logan….a fairly new player with us but he has already shown how dedicated he is to football and wanting to improve.

Logan particularly stood out during the first exercise “cone
shielding”. Protecting the ball from other players, he was able to use the correct body technique and strength against many
players.

Additionally he has shown great enthusiasm during his 1v1s and matches, using everything he has learnt into action. A moment that stood out during his match was not only when he had confidence to beat a player and score, he also had the ability to self reflect on his performance during the game.

⭐️ Player Of The Week 4-7 years ⭐️

This week the award went to Kane. Every week he turns up to training and smashes it..However this week, he got stuck in straight away…Showing near perfect shielding and determination to keep players without from his ball. Kane’s attitude continued through out the session, showing his awareness and the ability to time tackles and take it into his 1v1’s.
That smile sums up the amount of effort he put in this week ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ We Make Footballers

This week we focused on our defending, learning how to shield the ball with our bodies and keeping it way from an opposing player.

Both groups began with a fun exercise of shielding the ball from an approaching player. The aim of this activity was to use the correct body technique to guard the ball on the come from upcoming player who had 5 seconds to se if they can knock it off.

4-7 years old then moved into a fun game of Royal Rumble. Dribbling around while keeping the ball away from tacklers. The next part of this activity involved all players trying to tackle each other.

8-12: Took part in a technical variation of 1v1 which included having a defender approaching from behind once the attacker received the ball.. Not only did this exercise test their strength and shielding, but it also tested their awareness and decision making skills to beat the defender.
