LAST TIME OUT: Painful memories…😞at the den🦁
Rovers will travel to ‘The Den’ today to face last seasons final gameday opponents in Millwall🦁, with an unforgettable, albeit, painful reminder of the previous campaigns woes!
Hard for any blackburn fans to forget, rovers staged an epic combeck from 3-1 at half time to 4-3 in the 89th minute🤩 through a Diaz brace 🇨🇱, theoretically giving Rovers the best chance they had to enter playoffs (if only the k*ob enders put up a fight!). But, in line with last seasons pain, Rovers fell short at the last hurdle😩
The lion will have a new face in this matchup, with manager Gary Rowett leaving the club last wednesday. This is in line with milwalls roar looking less frightening compared to last season, only just seeing off preston with a 1-1 at deepdale, whereas Rovers are coming off the back of 2 straight wins and cleansheets against QPR 👑and Cardiff 🏴
Both teams have reasons to be optimistic for todays game, but i still think it will be a 2-1 win for Rovers, COYB! 🔵⚪️

LAST TIME OUT: QPR 👑
Rovers are returning to Loftus Road this weekend 🔵⚪️, hoping for a similar result to last years visit, and further hoping for a reversal to this terrible form they find themselves in🤕.
Last time saw rovers at their attacking best, with a convincing 3-1 win, seeing a double for and one from emerging fan favourite . The win saw a poor start to life for rovers fan and still (suprisingly!) QPR manager Gareth Ainsworth⭐️.
However, a loss for either team could spell problems for both managers, with Rovers and QPR sharing spots at the bottom of the table! ☹️
Both teams at least share something in common, with both teams last wins in the league coming against Middlesborough🔴!
A win is needed to get this season back on track! COYB🔵⚪️

LAST TIME OUT: LEICESTER 😍🌟
Who could forget last year’s FA cup run, and especially that great night at the King Powers stadium🤩!
Rovers ran out 2-1 winners over the struggling premier league team including stars ⭐️ such as Barnes, Tète and Daka being bested by , 🫡 and Co. A night i’ll never forget as a travelling rovers fan!😍
The teams, despite playing less than a year ago, seemed to have had turns in fortune, with despite both former Prem winners being in the championship, Leicester 🔵 are flying under the new look ‘Maresca’ regime in first, with Rovers stuggling to find form and momentum in the midtable.
Leicester are clearly the frontrunners in the league but anything can happen tomorrow at our fortress Ewood! COYB! 🔵⚪️

GAMEDAY IN THE EFL CUP
Rovers return to Ewood in the cup to take on championship side Cardiff in what should be a harder game than last round! 😂 D. Cardiff come into this with 3 impressive wins, and will be a tough team to beat, given Rovers recent form☹️. However, Ewood is our fortress and we all know how much we love a cup game! COYB! ⚪️🔵

THOUGHTS ROVERS FANS?💭
Rovers recently seemed to have completely 180’d from how we started last season, as me and recently dicussed. chances are plenty while finishing is scarce, which seems to be in complete contrast to last seasons start!
The most stark reminder of this would be our games against Sunderland 🔴 both this year and last.
At ewood last year, we saw a rovers team ride out a storm to win 2-1 courtesy of some great finishing by Diaz 💎and a header by Scott Wharton🧱. Rovers in that game were poor and had few chances but however, took them and 3 points.
This completely contradicts the recent 3-1 against sunderland, where Rovers were made to rue missed chances and were beaten by a clinical Sunderland.
The question has to be asked: How are rovers fans supposed to feel after these recent results? Are rovers missing a clinical frontman like the departed diaz? (Sorry for the clickbait pic of Diaz! 😂 couldnt help myself) or is this a case of waiting it out untill our whole team is back fit? Thoughts down below!

LAST TIME OUT: SUNDERLAND
For many rovers fans, this game is a chance for revenge, not only for the last fixture between the 2 clubs being a 2-1 loss, but also for sunderland stealing the last playoff spot!
The last meeting between the 2 clubs took place at the Stadium of Light💡, where the travelling rovers fans hearts were broken by a 90th minute winner from on loan Ellis Simms
This is particularly painful for🔵⚪️ fans by the end of the season, as that gained point would have seen us finish above sunderland and placed us in the playoffs!
Both clubs come into this game on the back of wins against the same coloured teams, with Rovers besting fellow NE side Middlesborough🔴, with Sunderland beating QPR 🔵⚪️3-1.
Sunderland return to Ewood with a new arsenal of players, particularly cult hero in their midst, someone who rovers will hope to keep quiet🤫!
Lets hope we get the result we want! COYB! 🔵⚪️

WIN for rovers in the 5000th game 🤩
Rovers breathe a sigh of relief with the full time whistle! 2-1 win with a fantastic brace by SUPER sammy Szmodics, during the applause for former Announcer Matt Sillitoe (that was for you matt❤️)!
Rovers seemed to continue their run of missing chances, with both Gallagher and Dolan missing massive chances, but rovers correct their mistakes from Plymouth and kept out a threatening Middlesborough🔴
Debuts for Telalovic and Hill aswell!
COYB🔵⚪️!

MATCHDAY 5000!
Rovers return to Ewood vs Middlesborough🔴, with the same team which suffered the 3-0 defeat against plymouth, hoping for a much better scoreline.
Quite intresting that JDT hasnt changed the starting 11, but it seems that he has put his faith in the boys to make that result right!
Thanks to .gfx for the graphic!
COYB!🔵⚪️

LAST TIME OUT:
Last time middlesborough and Rovers met was at Ewood park, with the game being one to forget for rovers fans, with a 2-1 loss to Michael Carrick’s side.
The game was marred by a controversial sending off to , which caused us to be on the back foot.
Both sides go into this game on the back of losses before the international break, with rovers 3-0 to plymouth and Boro a 2-0 to QPR.
Lets hope the 🔵⚪️ army can get their revenge! COYB!

AFTERMATH OF THE GREGG BROUGHTON INTERVIEW - THOUGHTS? 💭
Recently, Gregg Broughton came out with his and the clubs thoughts and feelings on how the transfer window went.
A lot of points were brought up, including:
* How the club was required to make money in order to bring in players.
* How the phillips transfer developed from last year to this summer due to playing time not being met.
* Adam whartons💎 future, perhaps being at a champions league or top 6 club?
* How recruitment has changed from being focused in the UK, to broadening to the continent.
* How the club must act in the future in dealing with fianances, with perhaps a change in the 3 year plan that was talked about for so long.
Overall, i’d like to hear your thoughts on some of these things, especially on the change of plans.
I think there are some worrying things being said by Broughton, in regards to how our youth are poached from other big clubs, but also clearly positive in regards to how the club will now find players in and around europe. Hopefully we can keep broadening our horizons to find hidden gems like we used to!
