We have the go ahead for our Charity Match for our mate Darmo 💚⚽️

Below is a message from Darmo:

Football has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. It's about friendship, connection, support, community, and being there for one another when it matters most 💚

Over the last year, I've been on a journey I never imagined I'd have to face after being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Throughout it all, I've experienced first hand how important charities can be. They provide support, education and a safe place during some of life's hardest moments 💚

I've also experienced amazing support from family and friends with Mel and Birtley Town Ladies keen to support me further by hosting a charity football match - an afternoon of football and friendship to raise funds and awareness for CoppaFeel! and Maggie's 💚

These two incredible charities hold a special place in all our hearts, not only because they've become so important to me during my own journey, but because they also mean so much to our wider football family 💚

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help CoppaFeel! continue their life saving work encouraging people to know their bodies and check their chests, while Maggie's provides invaluable support to people and families living with cancer 💚

This match is about more than football. It's about giving back, raising awareness, supporting those affected by cancer and showing the strength of our football community 💚

Together, we can turn something that had been so difficult into something positive. Thank you for your support and we can't wait to see you there.

🌟 Parents Player - Esmae 🌟

Voted for by the parents of the team, a fantastic achievement!

This award means so much because of how far she has come. When she first started, she would get upset after a tough tackle or knock. But through hard work, determination and a strong attitude, she has become such a resilient player. We knew she was made of tough stuff !

Her confidence on the ball has grown massively, and she’s developed into a strong, dependable player whether she’s playing in midfield or in defence. Most importantly, she keeps learning, improving and giving her all every time she steps onto the pitch. She’s also been a mascot for Birtley Ladies First Team 🙌

🌟Brave Heart - Grace 🌟

Made of seriously tough stuff, Grace never ever backs down from a challenge. She absolutely flies into tackles, gives 100% every single game, and shows incredible courage whenever she steps onto the pitch.

No matter how tough the game gets, Grace keeps going. She puts her body on the line for the team, battles for every ball, and shows a level of determination that inspires everyone around her.

Grace is also an absolute delight to coach. She always arrives at training with a smile on her face and, of course, her trademark pink socks on show! 🩷

🌟Team Spark - Lola 🌟

Lola is a massive ball of energy and she never fails to make the coaches laugh!

She brings so much enthusiasm to the team every single week. Her positive attitude is infectious!

Throughout the season, Lola has played in a number of different positions and taken on every challenge, she may seem nervous at first but fully commits when she’s on the pitch!
She has been particularly impressive in midfield, where her work rate really stood out and she bagged herself a goal 🙌

Despite being a real pocket rocket on the pitch, it’s her attitude and team spirit that make such a difference. Lola is always encouraging her teammates,brings great energy to the squad and is the kindest soul

🏆 Playmaker - Millie 🏆

Millie has come on leaps and bounds this year, growing in confidence, ability and understanding of the game every single week.

On match days she consistently puts in excellent performances, showing great awareness, composure on the ball and the ability to influence the game all over the pitch.

She covers a lot of the pitch and has found her footing as a midfielder 🙌

Being the coach’s daughter can sometimes bring its own challenges and pressures, but Millie has handled that brilliantly.

🌟Team Spirit - Ellyse 🌟

Playing as a striker, Ellyse has always shown willingness to work hard for the team and encouraging her teammates. Creating great opportunities and finding the back of the net easily.
Her positive attitude is infectious, and she helps create the kind of team environment that makes football so enjoyable for everyone.

Of course, no Ellyse moment would be complete without her famous Michael Jackson goal celebration! We can’t wait to see her use the sparkly glove to celebrate her next goal, it’s become one of the highlights of match days!

The Team Spirit Award isn’t just about football ability, it’s about attitude, her character and being a great teammate. Ellyse shows all of those qualities every single week and is a thoroughly deserving.

🌟Magic Feet - Violet 🌟

As the youngest player in the squad, Violet continues to impress every time she steps onto the pitch. Despite often playing against older players, she shows great confidence on the ball and has the ability to hold onto possession under pressure.

Whether she’s playing in midfield or as a striker, Violet is always comfortable receiving the ball and looking to make things happen. Her ball control, quick feet and willingness to take players on have made her a joy to watch throughout the season.

Like any coach’s daughter, it can be a challenge, but Violet has earned her place through her hard work and performances on the pitch. She never shies away from the challenge and always gives her all for the team.
