If you’re a mum, wife, partner, you will know what I’m talking about!

It’s the seemingly harmless questions - “have you seen my …. ?” [Insert random item that isn’t yours and that wasn’t used by you last]

It’s exhausting. I caught myself doing it today. With my mother… I apologised

Years of personal growth work to get there 😉😅😳

Do the men in your lives also do that?

Another fabulous concert last night!

Thank you Cian and Daf for all the joy (and challenges!)

10 years ago (yesterday) was the day before the Brexit vote. On that day, there was an event in Trafalgar Square that Marie Morice and I attended. To celebrate Jo Cox who had been killed by a Brexit supporter. Because she was an MP who opposed Brexit and dividing politics.

Yesterday, I submitted my application to UCL for a masters in Gender, Society & Representation.

Because 10 years on, we’re still nowhere close to gender equality in politics, healthcare, employment, business, leadership or any other sector.

My work as a leadership coach for women is to equip women with the skills to lead in a way that is aligned with whom they are and with their feminine energy.

My studies (if they’ll have me!) and what comes after will focus on understanding how to change the systems so our society becomes fairer and more sustainable through more gender equality!

Do you consider a leader? And if not, why not?

My definition of leadership might be broader than what you think and I wanted to explain a bit about why women need a different kind of leadership, that works better for feminine energy & traits

What if he had a point?
Yes, I know, if you were told “if you did less, I would do more”, that would royally p!ss you off and probably lead to an argument!!!

But what if there was actually something really true in there? But you’re not able to hear it? Because you’re stuck…. In the disempowering archetype of the Martyr…

This is often what happens when we’re an over giving Mother (the archetype, not necessarily a Mother, or not necessarily in a parenting relationship).

The Mother is a beautiful archetype but she can over give if she’s too strong and not balanced with other essential archetypes that are needed for us to be a balanced leader & woman

How would you feel if a partner or colleague said this to you?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

After nearly 10 years of coaching, one thing feels very clear.

Change is not about more knowledge.

Yes, learning helps.
But it’s rarely what makes the difference.

I was listening to a conversation on the radio.

A finance expert explained how to budget.
“Don’t spend everything you earn.”
“Follow a simple 50:30:20 split.”

The host replied, frustrated, “But that’s just common sense. So how do people start saving and investing?”

And yes, it is common sense. Yet how many of us still don’t do it?

We know, but we don’t follow through.

And this shows up everywhere.

Health.
Leadership.
Relationships.
Parenting.

Knowing doesn’t lead to change.

So what does?

There isn’t one answer.

Willpower works for some.
Accountability for others.
Structure, routine, responsibility.

Often, it’s a mix.

But there is one or actually 2 pieces I keep coming back to.

Self-respect and self-love.

When you start to treat yourself differently, your choices shift.

Not perfectly. Not overnight. But steadily.

And self-sabotage becomes harder to ignore.

I’m curious about you.

What actually helps you follow through on what you already know?

In and out. Then all in.

A pause from the day-to-day.
A space to reconnect with yourself, not just what you do, but how you feel.

Through calligraphy, we slow things down.
We notice. We create. We come back to what matters.

This Summer Scripted Season, we explore the Lover and the Mother, pleasure, presence, and self-appreciation.

✨ A different kind of time for yourself.
