The Isle of Wight is such a special place and that holiday feeling hits you the minute you board the Wightlink ferry, even if you’re just going for the day, like we were 🌞

Our crossing took us from Lymington to Yarmouth - we took our car, but if you’re going on foot you can leave the car at the ferry port, or travel to the port by train, as the port has its own station!

After 40 minutes of gliding across the Solent, you’re in Yarmouth and only a few minutes walk away is the River Yar - a great spot for paddleboarding.

Another favourite SUP spot of mine is Colwell Bay, which is a 10-minute drive or bus ride away. Here, you can paddle in crystal-clear water, against the backdrop of Hurst Castle and Lighthouse - I regularly SUP on the other side of these landmarks, so it’s always pretty cool to see them from “the South Island” 😎

There’s a large area of water here that’s cordoned off to boats, so you can enjoy your SUP session without having to worry.

If you haven’t brought your board across, you can rent one at The Yak Shack in Colwell Bay.

The Captain’s Cabin has an elevated terrace with views across the bay - a perfect place to rehydrate, refuel and relax (there’s also The Hut, if you’re feeling fancy!) 🍔☕️🍻

Back in Yarmouth in the evening, we got fish and chips from Salty’s - a fish restaurant and takeaway that’s nextdoor-but-one to the ferry port. After a cold drink in the bar area while waiting for our order, we took our fish and chips - which comes with mushy peas, tartare sauce AND curry sauce! - to the harbour to eat and watch the sunset 🌅.

Our day in the beautiful Isle of Wight ended with a night crossing back to the mainland - if you’ve never experienced being out in the Solent in the dark, with the lights of Yarmouth behind you and the lights of Lymington in front of you, I highly recommend it ✨

Thank you to Lou and the team at Wightlink, for giving us the opportunity to do this 🙏

And thank you to the team at Salty’s for our fish and chips supper 🙏

🔵 Today is World Blue Mind Day 🔵

The River Stour in Christchurch, Dorset, is one of my favourite places to paddleboard - it’s the perfect place to just gently glide along and soak up the calming effects of being on the water.

To continue the tradition that Dr Wallace J Nichols, founder of the Blue Mind movement, started, I honoured this day by “taking someone to my water”… I brought a non-paddleboarder, via boat, to enjoy this tranquil little stretch of river.

If you’d like to find out more about Blue Mind, check out my interview with - click the link in the bio, or find us on your favourite podcast platform - look for Episode 92 🎧.

“I wish you water”

Thank you, J 🙏

After a fantastic but VERY hot day of paddling a 20-mile section of the River Thames with Sam and a group of other SUP safety campaigners, we all very much appreciated the cool shade of Sam's garden that evening and the hospitality that Sam and his family provided 🙏.

However, our endeavours were only a fraction of Sam's, who was in the process of paddling the length of the Thames to raise awareness of leash entrapment - a serious risk to paddleboarders when using an ankle leash in flowing water.

Sadly, in 2020, Sam's good friend Simon Flynn died in a leash entrapment situation - you can find a video in our bio, explaining what happened that day. Sam is now a prominent advocate for the use of quick-release waist leashes.

Earlier today, Sam completed his challenge at the Houses of Parliament in London. Congratulations Sam 👊!!

He is raising money in memory of his friend Simon, for the Simon Flynn Foundation - if you'd like to donate, please visit the link in our bio 🔗.

Thank you Sam for inviting us this join you on Wednesday 🙏. And keep up the great work.

NEWS FLASH - Sam Foyle has just completed his journey down the length of the Thames to the Houses of Parliament to raise the profile for leash and SUP safety and to raise money for the Simon Flynn Educational Foundation.

If you want to find out more about his campaign or to contribute, links are in The SUPfm Podcast bio

It was a huge honour to join Sam for a small part of his journey and mark his journey and to remember his friend Simon Flynn who tragically lost his life in a leash entrapment accident.

It was a privilege to join Sam Foyle on a stage of his fundraising descent of the Thames finishing shortly at the Houses of Parliament.

He lost his friend Simon Flynn in a tragic paddle board leash entrapment accident and is paddling to draw attention to this issue and to raise money for the Simon Flynn Educational Foundation (To donate 🙏link is in bio).

It was a hot 🥵 one and he was flanked with supporters including .mclean .uk .hughes.paddlesport and his relentless non paddling supporter from .uk . Thanks also to Alex Chalke for pushing this agenda forward.

Well, what can I say…what an amazing weekend in the stunning Torquay on the English Riviera. Had the very best time at the ICF SUP World Cup and SUPERFestival
I’m not going to share loads of products of Shoretees Boardwear merch as I honestly don’t need too, it is so awesome to see so many people sharing their own photos of the weekend wearing their ICF competitor tops (by Shoretees), ICF merchandise (sorry, Shoretees again), and so many other amazing pictures in our sustainable ranges. I honestly don’t think I’ve smiled so much and been so proud of how far we’ve come over the last 5and a half years.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and purchased from us this weekend and throughout our time. I love you all 🙏🥰
