The gap is the space where most of us live longer than we’d like to admit.

It’s the distance between ‘I’d love to change careers, reduce my hours or do something completely different’ and actually doing it.

Inside that gap, you’ll usually find hours and hours of overthinking, research, conversations with friends who mean well but have their own agendas, pages and lists that never get finished and a running mental tally of every reason it isn’t the right time yet.

None of this is wasted but it doesn’t move you into a decision.

A dream stays a dream for as long as it remains optional.

It becomes real the moment you commit resources (time, money, energy) to it and accept that the commitment might not work out perfectly.

That’s the difference; dreaming costs nothing, deciding costs something. Which is exactly why so many capable, thoughtful people stay in the gap rather than cross it.

This is where coaching earns its place, and where it differs from talking to your partner, your best friend or your parents, all of whom love you and all of whom, understandably, have their own opinions about what you should do.

A coach isn’t there to tell you what your life should look like. My job is to give you a neutral space to think properly, to challenge the thinking that’s keeping you stuck, to help you explore your actual options rather than the few you’ve been circling for months, and to hold you accountable once you’ve decided.

These questions follow the same six-stage process I use with my coaching clients. Use Link in Bio for a free downloadable PDF of all 47 questions.

You’ll see your own patterns- The questions are structured so you notice, in your own words, what’s actually stopping you: money, fear, timing or just not having permission to want something different.

You’ll get honest with yourself faster than months of mulling it over ever could - Writing an answer down makes it much harder to fudge than just turning it over in your head.

You’ll get past the overthinking loop - The questions are built to move you from “I keep thinking about this” to “here’s what I actually think”, which is a different thing entirely.

You’ll walk away with a starting point, not just more overthinking. Proof, later, that this wasn’t just another idea that faded away.

You know what you want.
You know how good you will feel when you have it.
You know your life will change when you’ve done it.

But every time you try to start, you feel stuck. You procrastinate. You struggle to stay consistent. You don’t know how to make a plan that you can stick to. You get caught in a cycle of stop/start. You might even self-sabotage. Your mind finds excuses not to stick to it.

This is coach-led online accountability programme to help you stop
procrastinating, stay consistent and finally take action on your goals.

Any goal works in this simple structure: researching a new career or business idea, clearing a pile of life admin, implementing a fitness plan or weight loss, a writing project, building a website, clearing your house.

This accountability group coaching programme combines accountability coaching and mindset work to help you focus on your own process without feeling overwhelmed or pressured.

With weekly check-ins and a non-annoying private Whatsapp group, you have consistency, motivation, confidence and a cheerleading squad.

“Simply by showing up and following through each week, I built more and more consistency, momentum and confidence. The sense of community and support really made a difference, even though we all had our own goals.” Philippa, London

“Accountability gave me structure and community, both of which made it possible to reduce what seemed like an overwhelming process to manageable steps. Being able to discuss my progress with the Group, and hearing the progress and difficulties that others were experiencing, made me both kinder to myself and more confident.” Tracy, Los Angeles

“This programme has got me to where I wanted to be and reach my goals. I highly recommend! With Faith’s guidance, it has been an inspirational experience, brilliant for keeping my momentum and helping me stay on track. I’ve met great people in the group to share ideas and knowledge.” Amy, UK

Who doesn’t love to travel?

I particularly love cycling; not in a professional way, I like to rent a rickedy old bike from a local place and see where the journey takes me.

A few days ago, I went through hundreds of travel pics from a visit to Myanmar in 2014. This photo is at Bagan, a breathtaking spot with endless temples and fields near Mandalay.

We bussed our way around the country. There are only 2 train lines in Myanmar and we were told the trains were slower than the buses.

On one bus journey, we sat on the roof with the chickens. On another, we stopped at a checkpoint where the police weren’t sure what to do with a couple of foreigners as they hadn’t seen any in so long. They took our passports for an hour, contemplated and then gave them back with the kindest smile.

Another bus dropped us off in the middle of nowhere at 4am. A local farm worker pulled over, put the two of us, and our bags, on his bike and found us a hostel (it is illegal for foreigners to stay with locals in Myanmar).

Waves of emotion flooded me as I remembered what a special place it is and how incredible the people are. Such a memorable trip.

I felt rather melancholic afterwards; recognising how a year in the UK has deflated my zest for life.

So I’m bringing travel back up on my priority list, starting with a bit of Europe next month and then Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam this winter. I’m excited again.

I’ve never been to Sri Lanka but after visiting my Myanmar memory lane, I will actively seek out local life away from tourist hotspots, experiences, nature and peace.

Have you been to Sri Lanka? What do you recommend?

Honesty moment. These are my values; what is important to me.

I take just about every client through my Values exercise so they can get to know themselves again and get clarity on what is important to them.

It helps them shake off other people’s expectations, narratives, beliefs and opinions; all of which block them from their own truth. They become able to trust themselves to make decisions they believe in and can stick to.

I did the exercise on myself again recently and these are my values which came out of the 90-minute exercise:

1. Respect
2. Authenticity
3. Freedom + Kindness (equal)
4. Integrity
5. Money
6. Nature
7. Community + Experiences (equal)
8. Connection
9. Inspiration

The exercise was reassuring as well as insightful. I’ve taken the decision to leave the UK again next month to travel. Travel ticks so many of these values so I’m feeling great about it.

When we make decisions and take actions aligned with our values, things ‘click into place’, feel ‘right’, we become confident in decisions and excited. Versus resistance or resentment when we are out of alignment.

The last time I did this exercise in late 2024, Family and Structure were high on the list, hence why I choose to move back to the UK for 12 months.

How true are you being to yourself?

I can take you through the exercise to help you uncover your values. DM me to start a conversation.

If you’ve spent years carrying everyone else’s expectations, fears and beliefs as if they were your own, it’s worth asking which parts are actually yours.

The clarity you’re looking for isn’t out there ‘somewhere’. It comes from getting really honest with yourself about what matters to YOU and what YOU really want.

If you’re ready to stop waiting for ‘something’ to click and to start trusting your own judgement again, book a free call and let’s talk about what that looks like. 🌟Link in bio🌟

I used to set myself a deadline every autumn to make a change in my life by the turn of the new year.

Then winter came, Christmas, January, and the deadline just moved again, because safer was less scary.

Don’t put it off any longer.

If any of those signs above are you, it’s time to change things up.

I run a free 30-minute Discovery Call for women in exactly that spot. We’ll talk through where you’re stuck, what’s actually going on underneath it and what your next step is. No pressure, just an honest conversation to get you unstuck and moving forwards.

All in one week, all from my laptop.

A few years ago I was sat in a corporate office. Now my clients are scattered across the globe and the work happens wherever I open my computer. The location changes (and the timezone!) but the job is still the same: helping people redesign their lives, one decision at a time.

Where are you in the world? Tell me below.
