Online entries for the Sabden Trail Race tomorrow are now closed and the entry list can be found on ukresults via the link below.

There will be a limited number on the 'On The Day' entries available at registration. The charge for these will be £10 cash.

Please register and collect race numbers from Saint Mary’s Catholic Church Hall, Sabden, BB7 9DZ. Registration will open at 9:15 and close at 10:40.

Please note this is a different hall to where it has been held previously. There is a 5-10 minute walk to the start line which is situated at Sabden Brook Ct.

There will be a race safety briefing at 10:55 prior to the race start at 11am. The route is as per the original route and will be marked out and marshalled. Please pay attention to course marking, directional arrows and marshals and try not to get lost.

The start line will be heavily congested so please be patient and pick an appropriate position at the starting line. The route isn’t ours for the day so please be aware and courteous towards other walkers and dogs.

There may also be cattle in fields adjacent to parts of the course. Please follow marshal instructions in these areas and respect any temporary guidance that may be in place on the day.

There will be a water station at approximately 4.3K and at the same place on the way back (approx 8K). There will also be a first aid at the water station and start / finish area.

We hope to have photographers situated around the course and at the start/finish area so don’t forget to smile for those all important Facebook profile pictures.

If you need to withdraw from the race for any reason then please make sure to inform your nearest marshall. We don’t want to spend all afternoon looking for you!

Please bring some cash and support our venue by joining us for refreshments back at the Hall after the race where there will be a selection of food, cakes and hot drinks available. Prize presentations will take place in the hall.

PLEASE CLEAN, CHANGE OR REMOVE YOUR MUDDY FOOTWEAR BEFORE YOU COME INTO THE HALL.

Ribble Valley Runners are proud to be re-launching the Sabden Trail Race on Saturday.

This will be Race number 6 of the Pendle & Burnley Grand Prix with 6 miles on mixed terrain.

We’ve 100 entries so far but we can do better than that, right? Who’s in?

Our fabulous award winners at last nights Red Rose Cross Country Presentation Evening. RVR were chosen to pick the charity for this season, and we picked . Lorraine the founder of this charity joined us and gratefully received the £1,000 donation.
