River Awe peer paddle last Sunday
I have been asked to pass this along:
Can I just say a big thank you to the members (sorry forgot your names guys) of your club that attended Thursday evenings talk at the RWSABC, a lot off commitment to paddle across and back in the dark. I hope they enjoyed the talk and took something away with them from it and made it home safely. Good luck with you trip to Oban when you do it, it’s an amazing trip 😊😊😊

I have set up a FB page dedicated to the art of the roll for all kayakers whether sea or otherwise. It is a peer group of like minded kayakers who want to learn to roll or progress an already established basic roll with helpful advice from other more experienced members.
The aim is to generate interest in the hows and whys of having a good roll, an ability that will make the average kayaker a more confident paddler literarily overnight from the day they make their first succesful roll.
By posting videos of yourself rolling you can get instant feedback and critique on any improvements that could be made or just post and ask for advice on how to do the basics.
It originally was intended to be a small local west coast group but has grown arms and legs and already has over 100 members from all parts of the country with a mixture of highly experienced rollers and rolling coaches to the complete beginner and the intention is to arrange meet ups and put experienced rollers alongside beginners and receive free advice on how to roll

Play boating for beginners with Bruce Jolliffe.
There is a place available for Play boating for beginners with Bruce Jolliffe, Scotland’s premier play boating coach, on 7/8th May. It is based on the River Awe, which is on release. Get in touch for details.
Freestyle weekend with Bruce Jolliffe on the Awe: 7/8th May. One place left. This is aimed at novice freestyle paddlers, but you'll have decent roll already, feel happy on G3 and have a sense of adventure. PM if interested.
I was wondering if any other members have had a Cambridge Kayak! And if so are they quite good.
Some nice conditions on the Forth today for the 4* group
Great week in Skye with Kate Duffus on the Drumchapel & Clydebank Kayak Club advanced sea kayaking development week 1. Some big conditions, some challenges and some silliness 🙂
