⚠️ Important Notice: Strangles Outbreak ⚠️

Due to the current outbreak of strangles in the local area, I kindly ask all clients to remain vigilant and take appropriate precautions to help prevent the spread of this highly contagious disease.

If I am due to visit your yard and there is any possibility—however slight—of strangles (suspected or confirmed), please contact me as soon as possible to rearrange your appointment. This includes any signs such as nasal discharge, fever, swollen glands, or lethargy.

While I take great care to maintain strict hygiene practices and ensure all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between visits, I travel to multiple yards. Therefore, the health and safety of all horses I see, as well as my own, must remain the top priority.

Thank you very much for your understanding, cooperation, and support in helping to keep everyone’s horses safe.

Lets Talk Babies 🐎

Today I visited a lovely friend’s yearling for his very first weigh‑in.
Meet Boss 😍😘🐎
We didn’t quite get a final number today, but what we did get was something far more important — calm, positive baby steps. He bravely stepped onto the weighbridge, tried his heart out, and earned himself plenty of praise. We spent time doing gentle in‑hand work to help him understand the process and build his confidence at his own pace.

With youngsters (and nervous horses of any age), it’s never about rushing or forcing an outcome. Small wins matter. Kind, pressure‑free experiences matter. Sometimes that looks like treats on the bridge, sometimes it’s quiet repetition, and sometimes it’s simply stepping away and trying again another day. Every horse learns differently, and that’s completely okay.

There is never any pressure or rush from me — just patience, support, and a commitment to making each visit a positive one. I’m always more than happy to come back and help your babies grow in confidence as they start their weighing journey. It was so lovely seeing you all today 🥰

Tack weight matters — especially for horses who are young, older, rehabbing, or managing their weight 🐎.
It also counts towards your payload when travelling 🚚, which many owners don’t realise.
