We’re excited to be welcoming lots of new students to the academy for the new school year! 🥋
Eryn joined us for our Summer Camp, had such a great time training with us, and has now decided to officially become part of the academy. ❤️
A brilliant start to her martial arts journey!
If your child would like to give martial arts a try this September, we’d love to welcome them along for a trial class. Just send us a message to find out more.

🥋 Full Uniforms Are Back!
Just a quick reminder that we’re now back to wearing our full martial arts uniforms for all classes going forward.
Wearing the uniform is an important part of training. It helps create a sense of discipline, focus and belonging, and keeps everyone looking smart and training together as one academy.
Please make sure students arrive in their full uniform and belt for each class.
Thank you to all our students and parents for your continued support — it’s great to see everyone back training hard! 👊🏼

🎒 BACK TO SCHOOL — A QUICK SAFETY REMINDER FOR PARENTS
Those first-day-of-school photos are brilliant memories.
New uniform.
New shoes.
Big smiles.
A brand-new school year.
But before you hit POST, take a few seconds to look at what else might be visible in the photo.
A school badge or school name.
Your child’s full name or year group.
Your house number or street sign.
Your car registration.
A recognisable location or regular route.
🥋 At John Lynn’s Martial Arts Academy, we teach our students that self-defence starts long before anything physical happens.
It starts with AWARENESS.
Being aware of your surroundings.
Thinking ahead.
Recognising information or situations that could create unnecessary risk.
The same principle applies online.
So take the photo. Be proud. Celebrate the milestone and the start of a new school year.
Just take a quick look at what you’re sharing — and what somebody could potentially learn from it.
Teaching children to stay safe isn’t about making them fearful.
It’s about helping them become more aware, confident and prepared — both online and in the real world.
🥋 Be proud. Be aware. Be safe.
