Conwy Borough U8’s

A fantastic day at the Conwy Borough FC Juniors tournament day in glorious weather.

The U8’s were up against tough opposition all day, but where able to keep their motivation up and were able to win a tough Conference league semi final match and only lost in the final by a single goal.

Fantastic to see for a team who have only formed in recent months and the great strides they are making.

Thanks to all volunteers today and also to the opponents and coaches who played the game in the right spirits.

Fantastic morning at the Morfa, where the newly established U8’s played a strong Llanrwst team and despite going 3 goals behind showed grit and determination, to not only fight their way back to bring the game level, but to take the lead in the dying moments of the game and then after this were able to dig in and hold on and then also on the counter grab another goal to seal the victory for the day and get their first win as a team 🧡

POTM- As given by the opponents, Greg was well deserved, but could have been any of the players on the day who played their hearts out.

Busy weekend for the U8’s as yesterday were asked to be mascots for Conwy Borough FC

Then today a match against a tough Llanrwst team and although didn’t get the win, managed to score 8 good goals to show how much this new team is coming on.
