Over the last few weeks we've been running a competition to find photos for our 2026 calendar. There were lots of great entries and after a lot of deliberation our judging panel chose Georgie as our winner. Georgie attends the Horse Care course as part of Coventry Alternative Provision and submitted a lovely photo of Dougal below. They felt that the image really stood out in the black and white and was quite atmospheric. Georgie wins her own copy of the calendar which also features many of the other horses and ponies that work for Hooves in Harmony. All the photos were taken by clients both past and present. If anyone would like to purchase a copy (they make great Christmas presents), please can you let me know this week. Calendars are £10 each and I am happy to post if need be for the cost of postage or arrange collection from Bubbenhall Bridge. Please note if you need them posting, I can't guarantee they will be with you before Christmas but will do my best. The cost includes a £1 donation which is going towards spares of wet weather gear (waterproof trousers etc) and grooming equipment for our clients to use with the horses.
All runners up to receive a small prize. Their photos can also be seen below. Well done Georgie!
Competition time! Open to all past and current clients. We are planning on making a Hooves in Harmony 2026 calendar and are looking for 12 photographs to include in it. These can be of the horses or anything that catches your attention around the site. Please do not send images in which people are clearly identifiable as I am unable to accept them. 1 entry per person. To take part please email your photo to [email protected] and include a line as to why you have chosen it. Entries close 30th November to allow printing time before Christmas. These will then be available to purchase.
The road is currently closed for bridge repairs for the next few weeks. Please allow a little extra time to get to your session as you will need to come down the lane from the Baginton end. There are signs at the top of the road to say it's closed but you can get down the hill to the yard.

Toby (2005-2025)
It is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you that on Tuesday we had to say a very unexpected goodbye to Toby. Toby may have been the smallest pony on the yard but in his head, he was by far the biggest. I always used to say what Toby lacked in height he made up for with personality! Toby has played a huge role in Hooves in Harmony’s work since it started. His cheeky personality has made him popular with so many clients and a firm favourite for many.
Toby had the ability to bring a huge amount of energy to a session and if a client shared that energy, Toby was very much happy to join them in the fun, often cantering behind them or doing a bit of jumping. He was, however, happy in sharing quieter moments with clients and particularly enjoyed any painting activity where he would often end up with paint on his nose having stuck it into the paint himself! Toby’s absolute favourite however had to be the Bucket Game where he quickly taught clients to build and maintain a boundary, otherwise he would dive in and get the treats at the first opportunity.
Whilst there is a huge Toby-shaped hole in our lives at the moment he leaves so many wonderful and some undoubtably funny memories for us. I would like to say a huge thank you to Nat and her family who owned Toby for allowing us to work with him. RIP and thank you Toby, no one will ever wear a dinosaur rug quite like you.
