Good luck to all our teams playing this weekend! 💙❤️

It’s another big couple of days across the club, with our players ready to show their hard work, teamwork, and Cov Jag spirit out on the pitch. Whatever the result, we’re proud of every single one of them.

A reminder that this weekend is Silent Support Weekend across grassroots football.
We’re asking all parents and supporters to join us in creating a calm, positive environment where the players’ voices take centre stage.

👏 Cheer with your presence, not your volume
⚽ Let the kids play, learn, and lead
💙 Show respect for referees, coaches, and each other

Silent Support Weekend | 14–15 March

This weekend, Cov Jag will be proudly taking part in Silent Support Weekend, joining clubs across the country in creating the best possible environment for our young players.

For two matchdays, we’re encouraging all parents and supporters to dial down the noise and turn up the encouragement, not through shouting, but through presence, positivity, and calm support from the sidelines.

It’s a simple idea with a big impact:
⭐ More space for players to make their own decisions
⭐ More confidence to try new things
⭐ More enjoyment for everyone involved

Our coaches will continue to guide the players, and we ask our supporters to get behind the spirit of the weekend by showing your backing in quieter, more mindful ways.

Let’s help our players feel free, brave, and proud out on the pitch.

Love Football. Protect the Game. 💙❤️

Another quality Rock Up and Play Session 💙❤️

We started the session with a simple ball‑control exercise, a scattered‑cone dribbling drill designed to sharpen close control, quick changes of direction, and spatial awareness by recreating a busy, high‑traffic game environment.

From there, we moved into a game of Bulldog using the same cone layout, adding some early competition and encouraging the players to work together, communicate, and stay switched on.

As always, we wrapped up with a match: the boys, Darcie and Freya taking on the girls. It was end‑to‑end and full of great link‑up play, with players supporting each other, making unselfish passes, and showing real teamwork. There were some brilliant goals at both ends, but the girls edged it 6–4 to claim the bragging rights for the night. 💙❤️

⚽️💙❤️ Midweek Results Round-Up 💙❤️⚽️

Midweek Cup Magic Under the Lights!

U13 Rangers: A squad of 15 with four carrying knocks headed into a dark cold night at The Oval, to face Tier 1 Bedworth United… and they absolutely turned up.

They flew out the blocks, going 2–0 up with real fire. The game flipped when big Jack was taken out, leaving them without their number‑one keeper, and Bedworth clawed it back to 2–2. But this group doesn’t fold!

With the pressure on, they dug deep and delivered an outrageous screamer to seal the win and book their place in the semi‑finals.

Every single player showed heart, grit, and togetherness. A massive performance on a cold midweek night. 💙❤️

⚽️💙❤️ Weekend Round-Up 💙❤️⚽️

With most pitches hit by the weather, only two of our teams managed to get their games played but both groups showed brilliant attitude and real Cov Jag spirit.

MOTM – Every player earned it with their effort, attitude and team spirit.

U11 Ultras: The Ultras put in a strong, confident performance, creating plenty of moments and playing with real belief. They kept pushing right to the end and showed loads of pride in how they approached the game.
MOTM – Kaison: Calm, composed and reliable at the back, dealing with everything and leading by example.

Another quality Rock Up & Play session tonight.

We kicked things off with a shuttle‑dribbling challenge to spark the competition early. Each player had to dribble to the first cone, stop the ball dead, sprint to the next cone, then return and play a perfectly weighted pass for their teammate to go. First team to get everyone through took the win, and they attacked it brilliantly.

We then moved straight into a 5v5 game, with everyone putting in maximum effort for a solid 40 minutes. The match had a bit of everything, well‑worked goals, committed defending, and some really impressive link‑up play throughout. The intensity stayed high from start to finish, and everyone should be proud of the quality they showed. 💙❤️

Another brilliant Rock Up & Play session today, with a few new faces joining in and settling straight away.

We began by splitting into boys and girls groups. The boys got started with a fast‑paced two‑touch game, helping them think quickly, move the ball early and learn each other’s names at speed. The girls focused on volley technique, showing great timing and confidence as they connected cleanly and found the back of the net again and again.

To finish, we mixed everyone into three teams of six, two boys’ teams and one girls’ team, for a first‑goal‑stays‑on mini tournament. The girls absolutely rose to the challenge and came out on top across the whole rotation, only stepping off twice all session.

A fantastic atmosphere, loads of learning, and the girls grabbing the bragging rights this week. 💙❤️

Girls of the Game: Quaves for her all‑round quality and hat‑trick, and Pheebs for her two goals plus a committed spell in defence.

U8 Boys: A strong weekend for the boys, reaching the final in Friday’s tournament and following it up with a composed, confident performance on Saturday.

U10s: A challenging first trophy event, but the boys showed great spirit and left in good spirits after winning the penalties.

🔵🔴 Good Luck, Osheay Williams #18 🔵🔴

A huge moment for one of our U15 players as Osheay Williams begins his next chapter with Nottingham Forest.

Osheay’s journey over the past year has shown exactly what resilience and character look like. After being released from Walsall, he came straight back into grassroots football with the right attitude, the right work ethic, and a determination that never dipped. That mindset opened the door to a trial with Forest, and he took his opportunity.

From Cat 3 to Cat 1 in under five months is an achievement very few young players experience. It speaks to his mentality, his family support, and the way he applies himself every single session.

Everyone at Cov Jag is incredibly proud of you, Osheay. Keep working, keep learning, and keep showing the strength that got you here.

Wishing you all the luck as you continue your journey. 💙❤️

Another quality Rock Up & Play session 💙❤️

Even with half‑term in full swing, the energy tonight was absolutely electric. We kicked things off with a sharp one‑touch passing drill in pairs to get everyone switched on. From there, we moved into long‑range passing using a two‑touch setup that pushed the players to control with their less dominant foot before playing a perfectly weighted pass with their stronger one. The accuracy on show was brilliant, with everyone finding their teammate confidently.

Next up was the number game, which brought out some fantastic 1v1 battles. Once extra players were added, the teamwork really came alive, quick decisions, great support play, and plenty of determination.

We wrapped up, as always, with a match, this week mixing the boys and girls. It was a tight, hard‑fought contest full of clever movement, smart passing, and real togetherness. The draw at the end felt like the perfect reflection of how evenly matched and committed both sides were.

Another brilliant session full of effort, smiles, and great football. 💙❤️
