Come and try Conscious Connected Breathwork!
This is me coming back from one of my training modules. I have experienced better connections, more resilience to the bumps that inevitably come in life, and an overall sense of peace and well-being since starting CCB so, naturally, I had to go and learn how to facilitate so that I can offer this alongside / instead of psychotherapeutic counselling.
What is Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is an alternative to talking therapies. It is also referred to at 'rebirthing' and uses a circular breath to take you out of your mind and into your body. The connecting of the conscious and unconscious mind, the somatic experience in the body and the nervous system allows you to integrate past experiences that may be ruling your present, whether you remember them consciously or not.
I am looking to take 3 people through 10 sessions as part of my case study work and and also offering concessionary rates until November 2026 when I graduate as a fully qualified breath worker.
Try a 2 hour session for £60
10 sessions @ £40 per session (limited availability)
1.5 hours £65
2 hours £80

HOW TO FIND AND CHOOSE A COUNSELLOR
Time, money and fear of the unknown can all be factors that get in the way of getting the help you need. As can the finding and choosing process.
I personally offer limited concessions or every-other-week appointments to help with these barriers so let’s not look at the finding and choosing aspects, where do you start?
Reputable sites like https://www.counselling-directory.org.uk/ and https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb can be a good place to start. You can get a feel for potential counsellors through their photo and bio.
You can look out for information like specialities, years of experience, level of qualification (level 6 is degree equivalent) and check out their rates and whether concessions or sliding scales are part of what they offer.
Training varies greatly so information like did they have a placement during training to gain client hours, did they have to have their own therapy and do they have a supervisor can be good to know.
When you find 2 or 3 that you like, arrange a call or zoom with them. In this call you can get a better sense of whether this is the counsellor for you.
Research suggests that the therapeutic relationship is more important than the modality used for effecting change so spend a little time talking. Sometimes schedules and availability doesn’t align so having 1 or 2 others to talk to can be useful from this practical aspect too.
Don’t let finding and choosing become a barrier to getting the help you need. Spend some time on it and go lightly!
If you have any more questions about starting therapy, feel free to contact me at www.miltoncounselling.co.uk
Good luck on your search...

5 Ways to Nurture Your Mental Health
https://miltoncounselling.co.uk/blog

According to a recent YouGov survey 61% of parents have concerns about their mental health.
In honour of Parents Mental Health Day (January 27th) I am offering three parents three individual counselling sessions at a half price rate online or £20 off face-to-face sessions in Northgate, Crawley.
If you are a parent (pregnancy - 18 years) you can use these sessions however you feel will benefit you because looking after you ultimately benefits your child / children.
Children need an available caregiver's nervous system to complete their own and meet their emotional developmental needs. Worrying about what is next on your to-do list and the busy pace of life can hinder your availability and overwhelm your nervous system, as can coping with stress, anxiety or bereavement, past trauma and addiction.
Deepening your understanding of what affects your well-being can help you move towards a place that is more inline with how you want to be.
This offer isn't means tested but is first come first served. For full terms and for more information please visit https://www.miltoncounselling.co.uk/blog
