Yesterday, Bodyshots lost one of its pillars — Pete Stanhope.
Pete was more than part of this club; he was Bodyshots. He gave this place its atmosphere, its character, and its sense of togetherness. His presence was impossible to miss and even harder to replace.
He carried himself with strength, loyalty, and genuine care for others. No matter who walked through the doors, Pete made people feel welcome. He lifted people without even realising it, and the respect he earned came naturally because of the man he was.
Pete was like a real-life Rocky, with a bit of Ivan Drago about him — a mountain of a man on the outside, but underneath it all was a heart bigger than most people could ever imagine. Tough, fearless, respected by everyone, but always there for the people around him.
In boxing, people talk a lot about heart — and Pete had more than most. Not just in the gym, but in life. He stood by people, supported people, and gave this club something that can never be taught or trained.
The silence in the club now says more than words ever could, and our club will never be the same without him.
Our thoughts and love are with Pete’s family and everyone grieving this enormous loss. We feel privileged to have shared so many memories, laughs, and years alongside him.
Pete Stanhope didn’t just walk through the doors of Bodyshots — he became part of its foundation. His spirit, his presence, and the way he made people feel will live on in every corner of this club, in every story told, and in every person lucky enough to have known him.
Some people leave memories behind. Pete left a legacy.
And none of us will ever forget him.
Bodyshots forever 💚🍀
