🔵⚽ MEET OUR STRIKER! ⚽🔵

Next up for the Willington Blues U13s, we’re heading to the business end of the pitch to meet our strikers! 💙⚽

Now, we all know a striker loves finding the back of the net… but this lad’s game is about much more than just scoring goals! 🎯🔥

Whether he’s getting on the scoresheet himself, creating chances for his teammates or playing that final ball, he’s always looking for a way to make something happen in the final third. ⚽👏

And the stats backed it up last season! 📊

He finished the season with the most match contributions across the team statistically — showing that whether it was goals, assists or being involved in the big moments, he was making his mark! 🔵🔥

A striker who enjoys scoring them AND making them — because sometimes the assist is just as important as the finish!

We’re looking forward to seeing what he can produce this season. Keep working hard, keep creating and, of course… keep finding that net!

💗⚽ THREE POINTS ON THE ROAD! ⚽💗

A seven-goal thriller in Sunderland and the Willington Blues U13s are heading home with a 4–3 AWAY WIN!🙌🔥

It was one of those games that had a bit of everything! The lads had to dig deep, keep battling and show plenty of determination right through to the final whistle to get the result. 💪🔵

Finding the net today were Jayden ⚽⚽️, Fin ⚽ and an own goal ⚽

And there was another first today… 👀💗

The lads gave our brand-new pink kit its match debut, very kindly sponsored by Gibson's Funeral Services A huge thank you for supporting the team — and we couldn’t have asked for a much better way to give the new colours their first outing! 💗👏

🔵⚽ MEET ONE OF OUR MIDFIELDER! ⚽🔵

Next up in our Willington Blues U13s introductions, we’re heading back into the middle of the park!

This lad is at his best with the ball at his feet! 👟⚽

Comfortable on the ball with some seriously quick feet, he’s always looking to turn, find a bit of space and get the Blues moving forward. Give him half a yard and you never quite know which way he’s going!

He’s got that little bit of skill that can get him out of tight spaces, beat a player and help create something for the team. 👏

As he continues to grow in confidence and develop his game, we’re excited to see just how much more he can bring to the midfield this season!

🔵⚽ MEET OUR RIGHT WING-BACK! ⚽🔵

Next up for the Willington Blues U13s is our attacking right wing-back! 💙⚽

Give him a bit of space down that right-hand side and he’s OFF! ⚡😂

Pace is definitely one of his biggest weapons, and he loves nothing more than getting forward, making those runs down the wing and helping turn defence into attack! 🔥🔵

He’s developing more and more with every game, growing in confidence and learning how to use that speed to make a real difference for the team. 💪👏

There’s still plenty more to come from this lad, and it’s great watching him improve, take things on board and add more to his game every week. 💙⚽

Keep putting in the work, keep making those runs and keep causing problems down that right side!

Next up in our Willington Blues U13s introductions is one of the lads holding things together at the back — our centre back! 💙🧱

Strong in the tackle, not afraid to get stuck in and always ready to put himself between the opposition and our goal. 💪⚽

Whether it’s winning the ball, clearing the danger or battling it out with the opposition striker, he’s there doing the dirty work at the back! 👊🔵

Quite possibly the fastest player on the pitch, once he gets going down that left wing, there’s not much chance of catching him! 🏃‍♂️⚽

Always looking to get forward, take players on and cause problems for the opposition, his pace is a massive part of our attack. 🔥

We’re looking forward to seeing plenty of runs down that wing this season — although the rest of us might need a head start just to keep up! 😂💙

You definitely won’t miss him out on the pitch… he’s usually the tallest one out there!😂💪

A real Willington Blue through and through, he’s also the last man standing from the original team that started all the way back at U8s! 🔵👏 From those early days to U13s, he’s been there through it all and continues to give everything for the badge and his teammates.

A great presence on the pitch, a loyal teammate and someone we know will support our captain and help lead the lads throughout the season.

We’re proud to introduce the Willington Blues U13s Captain for the season ahead! 💙

A player who leads by example, gives everything for the team and is always there to encourage his teammates both on and off the pitch. 👏

He’s never one to shy away from a challenge, absolutely loves a slide tackle and we can pretty much guarantee he’ll be the muddiest player walking off the pitch every week!😂

He plays with passion, determination and plenty of heart, and we’re looking forward to seeing him lead the Blues out this season and wear the captain’s armband with pride. 💪🔵
