Reminder of tomorrow’s timings

*Addiscombe Judo Summer BBQ*

Dear all,

As mentioned in classes over the last few weeks, our final lesson before the summer break will be on 25 July 2026.

We'd love for you to join us after judo that afternoon for a BBQ and some fun games to celebrate all the students' hard work.

The plan for the day is as follows:
* We will combine both classes from 11.00am to 12.30pm
* BBQ (starting approx. 12.45pm to 1pm).
* Followed by Games and Fun in the afternoon.

Please can you confirm:
* How many adults and children will be attending (including family members who don't do judo).
* Any dietary requirements.

Please let us know ASAP - but no later than Saturday 18 July (as we need to order food) and arrange games.

We look forward to seeing you there. FYI - We return to Judo on 5 September 2026.

Well done to Mohammed and Ayaan, our judoka of the month for June. Great effort in class, both determined to improve their judo. Good to see them both putting themselves forward for the recent competition too!

Well done to the 12 members of Team Addiscombe who competed at the Croydon Invitational competition today. We’re always impressed by our students who put themselves forward to compete and test their competitive judo by attending these events, and today was no different. Great effort all round (especially in the heat) - pleasing to see everyone’s judo progressing! Hope you had fun and well done!

After our under 8s grading at the club last week, today was the turn of our over 8s.

Well done to each and every one of them who took part today - great fighting spirit and excellent judo! Everyone passed and achieved a new stripe, with some also gaining new coloured belts too.

Special mention to Mohammed who achieved his 18th Mon. This is the highest junior grade possible and testament to his hard work. On the day, he faced a line-up: 3 fights back to back with no breaks.

Well done all! Looking forward to seeing everyone wearing their new grades on the mat next Saturday! 🥋

Congratulations to our under 8s who all passed their grading at the club last Saturday. Looking forward to seeing them all wearing their new striped belts this Saturday.

Good luck to our over 8s who have their grading on Sunday at Coulsdon. Make sure you’re there on Saturday for the last few bits of preparation.

That’s a wrap on April’s judo sessions. Congrats to Thomas and Ali who were each awarded judoka of the month today. We’ve been especially impressed by their attitude and effort recently - both really important aspects of the sport (and life!).

There is NO judo this Saturday due to the Easter weekend.

Big congratulations to all of the Addiscombe students who took park in the Addiscombe and Nutfield Invitational Judo competition yesterday. Well done to each and every one of you. It was a great day of judo and very encouraging to see good sportsmanship win or lose. A special well done to those for who it was their first competition. Extra congratulations to Harrison who won the Spirit of judo award in the second session! 🏆
