๐ Reintroduction to new folks and 1 year anniversary ๐
There have been a number of new folk following and reaching out so I wanted to reintroduce myself and share what is currently on the go!
I'm Lewis, I teach weekly Yin yoga classes at Balmalcolm Den in Fife, just outside Cupar. As of this week I've now been teaching regular classes and events in the area for a year now! I fell into yoga nearly a decade ago when my body was badly feeling the effects of triathlon training ๐๐ด๐ . I found that yoga initially helped a lot physically but also mentally as I was suffering from chronic stress without realising it. Over the years I went to many classes and retreats and made the plunge to commit to a year long 200hr yoga teacher training ๐๏ธ that I graduated in 2024 from Perth CYS with the venerable June Mitchell, then later a 100hr Yin yoga teacher training โฏ, after which I decided to finally start teaching public classes and here we are 1 year later! ๐
I love my yoga practice but it isn't all super bendy acrobatics,. The essence of yoga, for me is in the simplicity of the present moment, watching the breath, listening to the birds and observing natures flow.
I find teaching such a privilege, over the last year I have met so many people with different motivations and perspectives so a big thank you to everyone who has been at one of my weekly classes or a special event! ๐
That's a wee bit of my story, nowadays, I teach weekly yin yoga classes at Balmalcolm Den, which is just outside Cupar. The classes are 75 minutes long starting at 5:45pm, where we tend to start with some gently movement before coming into longer held gently postures. It's a deceptively simple practice that is very accessible.
If you are interested in reading a bit more about the class or booking a space (make sure to use the code TASTER for a discount) please look at the link below. I am always open to queries about anything yoga so please reach out!
