Some great news!

The UKSA is evolving and in the best way!

This change we believe opens up more opportunities and avenues for both our current members and people who are interested in Joining but have not yet done so.

Nothing changes about we what do or our ethics in doing it.

Same people, same goals, new opportunities!

It’s a happy time for us here at the UKSA and we look forward to sharing it with you soon!

We are proud of our history in the UKSA.

We put on the first Shootboxing matches in the UK when there were no other opportunities for people to enjoy the sport.

We held and crowned the first champions in Shootboxing in our nations history.

We have also held the first women’s and youth Shootboxing matches in the nations history also.

We sanctioned the first grading syllabus for the sport in this country and also registered our training programs for judges and referees for the sport.

Shootboxing as a sport is now more popular than ever before and for decades whilst we were training there were no opportunities or interest of it for practitioners.

It’s wonderful to see that others are now embracing the sport, wanting to learn more about it and more importantly are taking part in it.

Just like so many people enjoy kickboxing and all of its various forms in this country we hope the same one day will be true of Shootboxing as a sport.

Our history and achievements as an association are already set in stone however we have so much more to accomplish in the future.

Today we are proud of these milestones and forever grateful to each person that made all of those moments and achievements happen.

We look forward to many more.

Here at the UK Shootboxing Association we are not looking to take over the world.

We are not looking to be the biggest association in the country.

What we are doing is building our own corner within it.

We don’t believe we need 100’s of clubs to be members.

What we are looking to do is connect with the clubs and martial artists who like what we do and want to help make it better.

If you practice striking, grappling and submissions and you enjoy the values that martial arts passes on through its practice then we would love to hear from you.

As an association we are dedicated solely to helping each other practice, refine and create opportunities within our sports, arts and formats.

All of our instructors help each other and support each other which is the whole point of being part of a martial arts association.

We keep it simple.

If you are a martial artist that enjoys martial arts, wants to be part of a supportive, friendly network of people all working together for the good of all people involved then maybe the UK Shootboxing Association is for you.

Membership is £25 per year for your entire club. Not per person.

Why not try us out for a year and see what a difference it can make?

Did you know that several of our member clubs in the UKSA offer free training sessions that you can take part in?

Sensei Wayne Thomas from Kahen-sei Martial Arts hosts a monthly sparring session for all people who would like to take part.

Shihan Nelson Figueiredo from Karate Sentoki Do also hosts two free sessions every week at his gym in Leicester covering both MMA and Sentoki do full contact karate.

Some of our other gyms also hold free training sessions throughout the week and month and as always all of our seminars are free to attend to both members and non members.

The UKSA is very much about bringing martial artists together from different styles and backgrounds and finding common ground between us so we can all share and improve.

Why not have a look at our club directory and see what’s going on in your area?

Great news!

Edits of the matches from this years FOTM 26 will be arriving this coming week and all matches will be uploaded to our YouTube channel!

We will send links over to all coaches so you can pass them on to your competitors.

Once again we want to thank Jim harrison for all of his hard work in bringing our events to life.

The quality of your work is always worth waiting for.

As an association we constantly try our best to give our members the best we can and professional filming of our events is part of it.

Great news!

We have one final addition to our associations competitive rulesets!

Our Sento Karate formats will now complete what we offer here at the UK Shootboxing Association.

This gives us a full range of formats for our members to test and express their techniques all the way from striking through the grappling to the submission in all of its forms.

We will be offering matches on the upcoming FOTM events and also we will be updating all of our UKSA qualified judges/referees in these formats and rules.

Entrants also have the option to make the ground phase unlimited In time in both B and A-class should they want to.

Each year we are consistently doing our best to offer our members the best opportunities we can.

Next year we will have grown from putting on our events for 5 years with one major event mid year to hopefully three events!

This is all down to the team work and community we have built together.

We also have something very big in the works that will be fantastic for all fans of martial arts.

More info on that next year.

There are many, many martial arts associations out there.

All of them promise a great many things to potential members and many of them are fantastic.

Here is what we guarantee.

✅ Being part of an association focused purely on developing the styles we practice.
✅ Creating safe and fair competitive opportunities multiple times a year to a high standard.
✅ Constant support for our members within our grading systems, their schools and styles.
✅ The freedom to teach your way without interference.
✅ The ability to speak to anyone in the UKSA when you need to for any guidance.
✅ To become part of a friendly, supportive network of martial artists across the country.
✅ To introduce your students to new training partners and clubs across the country.

We offer so much more also.

If we cannot offer it we do not make promises we cannot keep. Simple.

You know where you stand and so do we.

We believe honesty and integrity are key and putting the wellbeing of our members before any kind of financial gain is the right direction to move in.

If you would like to make martial arts straight to the point, get the support you need and become part of something beneficial to everyone then why not get in touch?
