Amanda Koser will lead a workshop on Wednesday 18th September entitled "Introduction to community music"

This 2-hour interactive workshop will focus on the importance of community music-making from a local to a global perspective. This follows the core idea that anyone can make music.
The workshop will highlight the direct benefits of community music-making, how to facilitate community work through musical interactions, making a meaningful contribution towards community development and social change.

No musical experience or skills required.

This is the final week of our 2016-2017 Music Bridge training program in partnership with Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin. We're back to Northern Ireland training musicians and community workers to become community music leaders. The project aims to address the consequences of the N.Ireland conflict, reaching out to communities affected by years of hostilities and mistrust. This week is the final training of the second year of the Music Bridge program. We're back at Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin this week, training local musicians to become music workshop leaders, reaching communities across Northern Ireland. This week, our trainees will work with two groups of students from the NW Academy of English and Model Primary School, putting their workshop skills to good practice!

This week, Musicians without Borders returned to Northern Ireland to continue our year-long training program in community music. Our trainees will develop their songwriting and group leadership skills, leading music workshops for a group of 50 students. http://mwb.ngo
