⚽ Under 12s Match Report
🚌 Away Day vs Gomersal & Cleckheaton
This morning the boys arrived knowing they had something to prove after last week’s performance. And fair play to them — from the first whistle, they looked ready to work, compete and, most importantly, enjoy their football! 💪⚽
We started the game really well, although the home side, Gomersal & Cleckheaton, also came out fighting. We put them under pressure from the start and it wasn’t long before that pressure paid off, with Michal finding the back of the net to give us the perfect start! ⚽
The boys kept working hard for each other, moving the ball and showing great team spirit. Once again, the pressure eventually told, and Michal popped up with his second goal of the morning! ⚽⚽
The home team didn’t give up and kept fighting. They managed to get a goal back, but the boys stayed calm and didn’t let it knock them off their game.
And thankfully, there was no repeat of last week! 😅
🔥 Second Half
The second half was where the boys really started to take control.
We moved the ball around really well, created chance after chance and started playing some excellent football. The passing, movement and work rate were fantastic.
At one point, we were creating so many chances that the opposition goalkeeper probably started wondering if he was allowed a tea break! 😂☕
🧤 Safe Hands in Goal
A massive shout-out to Joey in goal.
Joey was absolutely brilliant throughout the match and really commanded his box. He showed great confidence, communication and made sure the boys in front of him knew exactly what was going on.

🛡️ The Defence
Another huge shout-out to Jacob, Ibrahim, Sal and Muhammad.
The four of them were outstanding today.
Their closing down was excellent, they won the ball back, played forward when they had the opportunity and their recovery runs were out of this world. They worked incredibly hard for the team and showed exactly what it means to defend as a unit.
⚙️ The Middle of the Park
In midfield we had Harvey, JJ, Billy, Aiden and Omar.
These five lads covered some serious miles this morning! 🏃♂️💨
But it wasn’t just running, they added real quality to their game, especially with their passing and movement.
JJ grabbed two fantastic goals ⚽⚽ and showed great composure. 7 goals in 3
Omar was cool as you like in front of goal, calmly taking his chance when it came. ⚽
And a special mention for Harvey, who scored his first goal of the season with an absolutely awesome free kick! 🎯⚽

Leading the line was our hard-working machine, Michal.
He didn’t stop running all game. His work rate, movement and determination were fantastic, and there has been so much improvement from him.
