Another month down and this is how our fixtures look for October.

2 games on the road and then back on home soil to round the month off with welcoming new opponents to Rossington All Saints at the end of the months in Rotherham MVF 11’s.

After allowing donations to continue for a week post our charity day we now have stopped donations and can announce our grand total for charity. 🥁

Thanks to everyone’s support and generous donations, we have raised an outstanding £1750 for our two great causes. 🎉🍾

This is amazing and easily smashed our target of £1000.

This now means that as a football club in our first year of being established we have played in 4 charity games, where around £3500 has been donated to great causes.

Donations will be made to Target Ovarian Cancer and Doncaster Foster Carers Association this week.

Massive thank you to the players, families and the sponsors for making the day successful.

❤️⚽🍩 ONE YEAR OF DONCASTER DOUGHNUTS FC 🍩⚽❤️

One year ago, Doncaster Doughnuts FC started with a simple idea: bring men together through friendly football and create a place where looking after your physical and mental health matters.

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate one year of Doughnuts. 🎂

Over the past year, we’ve shared wins, losses, laughs, frustrations, good days and difficult days. But more importantly, we’ve shared time together.

Because sometimes it isn’t about the result on the pitch.

Sometimes it’s about getting out of the house.

Sometimes it’s about having something to look forward to.

Sometimes it’s about having a laugh with your mates.

And sometimes, it’s simply knowing that there are people around you who will listen. ❤️

We’re proud to be building a community where men can come together, enjoy a friendly game of football, get active, and hopefully feel a little better for it.

A massive THANK YOU to every player, supporter, friend, family member, volunteer and everyone who has helped make Doncaster Doughnuts FC what it is today. 🙌👏

Tough fixture for the Doughnuts against new opponents.

2 mental health teams showed good spirits throughout, but the away team come away with the win.

We didn’t think we played anything like the scoreline, a few minor errors meant the young and fast attackers exploited them mistakes.

As in previous games, we didn’t let our heads drop from going behind. In the 2nd half, we came into the game and drew the second half 2-2, but in the end it wasn’t enough to close the difference.

We are nearly 1 year old 🎉🥳

29th September marks 1 whole year since our first 11 a side friendly against Wakefield Wideboys. 🤝

A small group of us, played some small sided games against local teams in preparation for Man V Fat National Tournament and had the urge for more. Along came Doncaster Doughnuts. 🍩

Since then:
• 40 players signed up, ✍️
• 32 games played, ⚽️
• 13 different like minded teams played, 🤝
• 4 charity football matches, 🎗️
• 1 common goal…improving men’s mental and physical health. 👌

As we celebrate 1 year, keep an eye on socials for special content. 👀

We round off our September fixtures with a home game against new opponents. 🤝

Where do we even begin about yesterday's antics ❤️🥺

This was a class day we hope was enjoyed by all.

From Doncaster Doughnuts management team, we’d like to say a massive thank you for all the help and support. It was truly magical to be a part of this from start to finish.

Football was a good effort, Like always, we gave it a go, we went into the break 0-3 down but came out strong and managed to get a goal back.
The most important things is that we all had a laugh/fun regardless of scoreline. 😂

The afternoon went well with the kids disco, a full room of happy people and the kids enjoyed it. 🪩🕺

Moving on to the evening, and it went smashing, the lads and families made it a good evening and looked to enjoyed it 👍

Overall, for our first charity event, I say we smashed it and look forward to hear more feedback to make our next one even bigger and better! 👏💪🍩
