Well…What an afternoon.

18 goal thriller is not what was expected on a Sunday.

We started the game well with an early 4-0 lead but then let it slip to 4-5 before half time.

Goals was then backwards and forwards between both sides. Altogether a great afternoon of football.

Mark Waterhouse was voted Man of the Match by the Harrowby lads.

Shout outs to Lesane in bagging 5 goals and an incredible bicycle kick into top bins from James’ corner, incredible to see. 👏🔥 and to Tom for putting a great shift and several assists.

On Saturday 19th September our squad will be taking to the grass pitch behind Rossington Welfare to face our good friends Wakefield Wideboys FC.🤝

Come down and support us and two good causes - Doncaster Fostering and Target Ovarian Cancer.

We will have stalls and activities around the pitch to suit everyone…even a mobile bar for the adults set up by Rossington Welfare (weather depending). ☀️🤞🍺

Note that Rossington FC Development team have a league game on the main pitch next to where we will be playing that kicks off at 3pm. So if you want an afternoon of Rossington based football, Rossington Welfare is the place to be.⚽️

What a glorious afternoon for a bit of football action.☀️⚽️

Jubilee Sport Bar & Social club have a lovely set up and Football For Foodbanks CIC were a friendly bunch.🤝

As a club we all chipped in and donated £80 worth of requested items that the Sheffield Foodbanks were urgently needing more of.

Unfortunately, the game was a loss this afternoon. But as a team we did well to hold the opposition to just a 2-0 lead for majority of the game. Then tiredness and some questionable referee calls cost us the last 2 goals late on.

Some positives to take away as always. New formation and tactics change during the game, seemed to work well to contain the opposition. A few good chances on our side too. A power header from Brad was tipped over the bar by their keeper. Cracking effort.

Our MoTM goes to Tom Seale, put a lot of effort in all game and had a couple of good chances. There were a few close calls for MoTM. Shout to Brett for some great saves and Brad for putting in a long tough shift upfront.👏

We go again this weekend back on home soil.

It’s been a while since we faced Football for Foodbanks, and believe we have grown as a team and hope we can put in a good performance and get a good result. 🍩💪

A good run out on a surprisingly warm day. ☀️🥵

Our lads were unfortunate in the 4-1 defeat this afternoon.

A good effort as always with some constructive take aways from the game for us to work on.

A good catch up and social at a local pub afterwards is always good to reflect and have a laugh. 🍻
