ANTONIA
Celebrating your team…
It is with great delight that we welcome Chartered Physiotherapist, Antonia, to the Corefitphysio team. She has already been seeing clients for initial assessments and Physiotherapy over the last few weeks and from the 21st September she settles into regular clinics on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday incorporating a new Foundation Reformer class on Thursdays at 1pm.
Antonia qualified from St Mary’s University with a BSc in Physiotherapy. Her interest in physiotherapy developed from a longstanding passion for movement, shaped by her experiences in rock climbing and skateboarding. These activities sparked her curiosity about how the body moves, how injury can affect movement, and how different areas of the body can influence function and wellbeing.
Antonia has experience in musculoskeletal and respiratory physiotherapy, as well as neurological outpatient settings. She has delivered exercise sessions for people living with multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease and led tailored classes for older adults focusing on balance, strength and functional movement. She has also taken on mentorship experiences with specialist physiotherapists working with runners and climbers, developing an understanding of the physical demands of these activities and how physiotherapy can support a safe return to sport.
For five years Antonia has been a Support Worker with Achieve Together, supporting autistic adults and people with profound learning disabilities. She feels this has shaped her approach to physiotherapy, helping her focus on individual needs, communicate clearly and adaptably, and tailor care to what matters most to each person.
Antonia is passionate about helping people improve not only their functional movement and physical capacity, but also their confidence, independence, enjoyment, and ability to participate in the things that are most important to them.
Welcome Antonia!
