I recently updated my weekly classes with the addition of my weekly Outdoor Yoga Classes in Borough Gardens in Dorchester which are proving popular and held on a "Pay as you wish" basis, and my two Free YouTube classes which help to supplement my in-person classes each week giving you plenty to choose from!
I am incredibly lucky to teach in Dorchester, Portesham and Upwey multiple times each week, in addition to hosting Workshops on "Yoga for Runners", "Mens Introduction to Yoga", and "Yin Yoga and Sound Bath" sessions alongside my weekly classes as a way to get a bit more from each style/delve deeper into form and theory.
Private bookings for both individuals, groups, and corporate bookings are also part of my offerings and can be booked via contacting me directly.
Chair Yoga is also an element I provide in Care Homes and for those needing a more supported practice and can be booked via contacting me directly.

Do you lack Glute Activation? If we struggle with the mind body connection to activate in muscle groups, especially such large and powerful ones like the glutes, it can lead to compensation and issues throughout the body chain.
Often this can be a sign of tight hamstrings and/or lead to posture issues as the body isn't using what is fully available to it.
Yesterday's YouTube class allows a quick sequence focusing on how we may be able to activate throughout the lower body to gain greater control of what is naturally available to us once we've "woken up" these regions of the body.

Got a few local teams sponsored this year with Ridgeway Football Club and Martinstown Cricket Club which is great to be a part of.

The latest free YouTube class from yesterday is a 10 minute Hamstring Focused session which could be a great way to fit a practice into a busy life.
This could be a nice way to open up the legs after running, cycling, or other sports as part of a cool down/pre/rehab session.
I'm going to be doing a few more of these bitesize sessions to give you plenty of ways to keep up a regular practice with a full calendar!

This Saturday I am hosting my first "Yoga for Runners" specific workshop in Dorchester. This will be a beginner friendly workshop, with no previous Yoga experience needed.
There are many Yoga aspects which can transition into creating a balanced body into other sporting activities. Running is definitely one of them. Focusing on developing greater mobility and also, the lesser thought of, functional breathing patterns for running and day to day life.
Hamstring Tightness, Lower Back Instability, and Hip issues can be common amongst Runners. This will be looked at with several poses/sequences you can take away form the session into your pre/rehab of Running to give yourself a healthier body with greater longevity.
Studies have shown around 90% of athletes have dysfunctional breathing patterns in their day to day. This is something I will discuss and explain some techniques on how we can adjust this accordingly to help us in our chosen sport, but also when we're in our normal every day lives.
I will be providing everything from mats to props, so once booked, you just need to turn up on the day and I'll take care of the rest for you!

Tomorrow is looking much more enjoyable weather wise than the last few days to enjoy a Yoga Class in Borough Gardens 08:00-09:00!
Last week was meant to be the first Saturday session alongside my existing Monday Borough Gardens classes, but was rained off. Thankfully this week is looking much more promising!
These sessions are Beginner Friendly, run on a "Donation style" / "Pay as you wish", and offer a balance between flexibility and strengthening poses. No booking in advance necessary!
The Monday evening sessions have been really enjoyable to host and I know these Saturdays will be just the same!
Hopefully I'll see some of you there first thing tomorrow!

In hotter countries, they typically workout in the morning or after sun down to get their fix in before the temperatures rise! Why not try this Core focused beginner friendly class before it gets too hot today?
It was an interesting personal decision to record this at 16:30 on a crazily hot day in a UK heatwave...but I guess that's one of my poor life decisions which you can avoid by trying it out this morning or evening? Haha
