Saturday sees us head into our final game of the season, and you can guarantee this one is going to have a little extra spice to it! 👀

There’s nothing quite like a bit of healthy local rivalry to bring out the best in the girls, and we’re expecting plenty of passion, determination, big tackles, strong runs and, of course, plenty of smiles along the way! 💪🏉

🏉💛🖤 WSL GRAND FINAL FESTIVAL! 🖤💛🏉

What a fantastic day we have ahead of us! 🎉

We are incredibly excited to be heading to the Women’s Super League Grand Final Festival, organised by the RFL and bringing together girls’ rugby league teams from across the region. 💪

⏰ 11am – 2pm
📍 Jenkar Rugby Fields, Methley

This is about so much more than rugby. It’s about giving our young girls the opportunity to play, make memories, meet other teams and celebrate everything that is brilliant about girls’ rugby league. 🖤💛

With 12 clubs, hundreds of girls and one huge celebration of the game, it’s going to be an amazing festival of rugby, friendship, family and community. 🙌

A massive thank you to the RFL for putting this fantastic event together and to Methley Warriors for hosting us.

🏉🔥 THREE AWARDS. ONE OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE. 🔥🏉

Last week, one of our girls produced a performance that was impossible to ignore! 💛🖤

She walked away with Parents’ Player of the Match, Captain’s Player of the Match AND Coaches’ Player of the Match!🏆🏆🏆

And honestly… she deserved every single one.

Without doubt, this was her best game of the season so far.She was absolutely outstanding from start to finish, showing exactly what it means to put in a complete rugby league performance.

💥 Ferocious in attack.
🛡️ Relentless in defence.
🔥 Powerful, determined and fearless.

She was making things happen every time she got her hands on the ball, finding those vital yards when we needed them most and putting her body on the line defensively.

And when the pressure was on? She stepped up.

More than once, she produced the kind of plays that got us over the line and kept the team pushing forward. That determination to keep going, keep fighting and keep making those big plays was something special to watch.

🔥🏉 OPPOSITION PLAYER OF THE MATCH 🏉🔥

Saturday against Normanton Knights brought plenty of tough carries, big tackles and hard-fought rugby — and one of our girls certainly caught the opposition’s eye! 👀💥

A HUGE congratulations to our Opposition Player of the Match! 🖤💛

To be recognised by the opposition is a massive achievement, and her performance on Saturday showed exactly why.

She put in a relentless shift from start to finish, throwing herself into the action, battling for every yard and never backing down when the pressure came.

💥 Strong in attack.

💥 Relentless in the middle of the action.

It’s always special when the opposition walk away talking about one of your players — and on Saturday, she definitely gave them something to talk about!🔥

💛TWO TEAMS. ONE DRIG FAMILY. 🖤

Tonight was something a little different as our U11s and U12s teams came together for a special Bank Holiday training session at AGOGE Performance Gym. 🏉💪

Although these are two separate teams with their own seasons, challenges and journeys ahead, tonight they put that aside and joined forces to train as one and it was brilliant to see! 🔥

From the very first drill, the girls were supporting, encouraging and pushing one another, showing exactly what being part of the Drig family is all about. 🤝💛

There was plenty of ball-in-hand work, developing skills, communication and teamwork, before moving on to learning some new tackling techniques and challenging themselves to improve. 💥

The effort and attitude from both groups was outstanding, and we couldn’t be prouder watching our girls come together, learn from each other and give everything they had.

Two teams may wear different age-group labels, but tonight they trained with one purpose, one attitude and one team spirit. 🖤💛
