Last week our chief instructor Mike Hope worked alongside David Stewart and the McDonald Water Storage team to deliver scenario based Emergency First Aid at work.

The clock is ticking in a cardiac arrest. Of the 40,000 resuscitation attempts carried out by emergency services in the UK each year, fewer than 10% survive.

But we can improve this; learn CPR, know where your nearest defibrillator is, and be ready to act in an emergency. A little knowledge makes a big difference!

Save a life! The team spent the weekend with the crew at Prescott Speed Hill Climb running our 3 hour save a life course.

The programme is designed to give participants a short, sharp and effective look at simple yet life saving techniques.
Stop a bleed, CPR, Casualty Care.
Each technique is taught using scenarios that are fitted specifically to the location and activity of the group.

Throughout the session groups are taught to work as team and manage their environment. Asking questions like:
- Where exactly are we?
- How does the ambulance get here?
- Where are our first aid kits and whats in them?
- Have I sent someone for an AED?

We often invest many thousands of pounds in our hobbies, holidays and activities why not invest in some basic critical life saving skills...

The next stop for the team is MotoJoe working with adventure motorcyclists and then onto Holland & Holland to work with Women Who Work in Field Sports.

Demons in the desert!

It's taken a while but we've put the whole story together!
The last 3 years have been crazy with this project and it didn't end how I would have liked!

The reason I do these things is to understand my own resilience and how to better cope. This one has certainly done that and in ways that I could not have imagined!

When you enter into this level of adventure and challenge there is no guarantee of success - far from it.

Therefore the partnerships and ultimately friendships that are built up around them are resilient and enduring.

Over the last 3 years the MotoJoe team headed by Joe Philipsz and Tatty Bogle have never faltered.

Stirling Trailer Centre- More than just trailers. continue to get my kit and equipment to where ever I may be needed in the world! and alongside SC MEDIA are helping me get ready for the next chapter.

I am immensely proud to be clarssified as an ambassador by Vango and together we are all ready building up to a high schools STEM project!

So I didn't get to see Dakar but so much positivity has stemmed from Project Dakar!
