What is that I hear you say? "It's about time you were racing again Ryan!"
You'd be quite right - which is why I made a decision a couple of weeks ago to join "7 Racing"
https://www.msvr.co.uk/car/championships-and-series/7-racing on the legendary Brands Hatch Grands Prix circuit (yes the GP layout not even the Indy) this Saturday (24th May) as a guest on their 270/310 grid. as part of the Porsche Club GP meeting. https://www.brandshatch.co.uk/2025/may/msvr-club-car-championships
For only the 3rd time in the last two years I'll be racing the Toyo tyre shod 310R version of 🐸 #33 - So I'm out of practice and have literally no testing behind me..... I'm setting the expectations low folks - but intend to have a lot of fun..... with the number one objective of not being last......
With help from the rather brilliant LFP Motorsport too.
Live timing will be here https://www.tsl-timing.com/event/252151
Qualifying at 9:00am, Race 1 at 11:00 am and my 2nd race at 4:00pm
This weekend I'm having to put a "1" in front of #33, so wish #133 🐸 and I luck!

Its been a quiet year on the racing front however a couple of weeks ago I went with some friends to the Nurburgring - now, I'd never really wanted to do the 'ring because well, the green hell etc - but being a petrol head / sometime racing driver it was kind of obligatory - so I needed to tick that box.
Box ticked and I will be going back - on a track day - I was a passenger on a tourist lap the previous day and no - if you want to do it properly go when its a closed circuit.
This was my fastest (and last lap of the day) was an 8:12 - I got blocked a couple of times, confidence lifted a couple of times and made one hefty mistake that cost me a fair amount - a sub 8:00 BtG lap is very definitely possible.
This last lap came at the end of a near hour long stint - and at this point I'd done about 14 laps - although some in the morning were wet - so not a great barometer.
The 'ring is fast, twisty, bumpy, scary as hell and almost impossible to learn in 1 day but utterly brilliant.
The twisty bits a Caterham is way faster than most, on the long flatout blasts we suffer from our lack of top end - I managed the rev limiter in 5th and spotted 129mph (~200kph) at one point.
Features here - he's the Silver GR86 at the end.
