Had some much needed time with the family last week.
Plenty of time to think and reflect. I took myself down to the sea almost every night to watch the magic appear over the sea.
This particular night was solstice, a highly meaningful time of year for me. A reminder to make the most of what we have. The hours of sunlight are now getting less, time to seize the light.
I spent my time mainly with my parents, having morning bike rides to the beach and dips in the sea with my youthful dad (he’s 76 and still goes after it) and helping my mum with her ongoing rehab from serious surgery.
I was reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of being able to move. The challenges that come with rehab and aging.
Being grateful for the body you have and where you are at is crucial, with focussed effort and attention you can improve how you feel. Whatever your movement goals are keep going.
If you haven’t started moving or don’t know where to start. How to manage pains and struggles related to movement. Don’t give up on hope and reach out if you want some help.
Thanks mum and dad, keep going and keep on moving 💚
Thanks Cromer, beautiful wee corner of the world.
