Hoppy birthday to our midfield magician Maverick. Have a great day.
What a fantastic weekend of football at Loughborough UK International Tournament.
Our journey progressed us into in the semi-finals of the cup against a strong side from the East End of London, who had over 500 players trial for their squad and had scored 30 goals without reply in the group stages. We were proud to be the first team to score against them and to push them all the way in a closely contested 4β3 match.
The team then responded brilliantly in the 3rd place play-off, securing a well-deserved 3β1 victory over local side Darlington FC.
A special mention must go to our players, who showed exceptional commitment and resilience throughout the tournament, competing with a squad of just seven.
We are incredibly proud of all involved. Congratulations also to our and U12 girls, who both finished as runners-up in their respective cup finals.
An outstanding achievement across the club, with all three teams reaching finals and bringing home two runner-up finishes and a third-place trophy.
A huge thank you to our main sponsors β One Travel Club , Babaji and VRS Specialists β for their continued support and for providing the boys with this fantastic opportunity to compete in another international tournament.

A very demanding but ultimately positive day for the group.
We lost a player early on due to illness (get well soon), which left us with no substitutions for the remainder of the day. The players adapted well to that challenge and showed excellent resillience.
Across the fixtures, the standard was consistently high. To come away having lost just one game β against a side with an established elite academy programme in East London β is a strong reflection of the groupβs attitude and application.
Qualification for the cup has been secured, which was an important objective going into the day.
We go again tomorrow afternoon πͺπ»β½οΈ

Great performance today from the team π
Defensively, we were excellent as a unit and showed real discipline throughout. We executed the game plan well, staying organised and looking dangerous on the counter attack. Overall, we always looked the stronger side and the most likely winners.
π Man of the Match: Ted & Riley
Both were outstanding β controlling things defensively and setting the tone from the back. A big improvement from the last game and dealt with their threats superbly.
𧀠Miller β Reliable when called upon and secured a well-earned clean sheet.
β½ Mav β Very composed on the ball and always looking to play positively.
π§ Seb β Excellent positioning and communication, led the team well.
π― Zia β Great finish for the goal and outstanding work rate throughout.
π₯ James β Full of confidence at the moment, another strong performance.
πͺ Thomas β Brilliant impact off the bench, especially while battling illness.
π Henry β Welcome back! Kept things simple and played a key role in the goal.
A real team performance with plenty of positives to take forward β well done everyone πβ½οΈ

A really competitive and hard-fought game today, with both sides putting in a strong shift. It was one of those matches where fine margins and key moments made all the difference.
Man of the match goes to Ziia and Elliot today. Well done boys.
