Tough conditions for both teams last night, but the boys showed great character and worked hard throughout. Extremely warm weather but both teams kept battling from start to finish.

We started the game well and looked positive early on. The opposition managed to take the lead, and despite a difficult spell that followed, the boys kept their heads up and continued to compete. The final score probably didn’t reflect the effort and commitment shown by the team.

We created some good opportunities but couldn’t quite find the finish when it mattered. Converting those chances would have made the game much closer and is something we’ll continue to work on. Great game and attitude from both sides.

Away Man of the Match – Joel 🏆
Joel never stopped working for the team and put in a tremendous effort from the first whistle to the last. He battled brilliantly against their strongest player and fully deserved his award. 👏⚽💜

A great day of learning and development for the boys today, competing in a tournament a year above their age group at 9v9.

The lads more than held their own, played some excellent football and represented the club brilliantly. Missing out on the knockout stages by just one point shows how competitive they were throughout.

Most of all the boys enjoyed their football. 💜🖤⚽

A good performance from the lads today. We started sharp, moved the ball well and looked dangerous going forward.

The second half became a little more difficult when we lost a bit of our shape, but the effort and attitude never dropped.

Most pleasing of all were some really well-worked goals, finished with quality and confidence.

Plenty of positives to take away as we continue to develop and improve together. Well done, boys! ⚽🖤💜
