Tough mudder x2 complete!! 💥 👊 💪

Well done lads, great effort in the cold weather this morning. 🥶

Days like this are great for digging deep and getting through a tough challenge so you should all be proud 😊

Also it’s a sad day today for us at checkmate as it would have been Luke’s 32nd birthday today, RIP brother rest easy. 💙

Please reach out if you’re feeling like there’s no way out, there’s always a brighter day.

Stronger men. Better lives.

What a night! 🎱 🎯 🍕

23 lads showed up tonight for a night of pool, darts, pizza and good crack.

We love events based around exercise at checkmate but nights like this are just as good for the lads to switch off and have a laugh.

Massive thanks to Kitt's Pool Room & Bar Durham for an amazing night. Always a pleasure in such a great venue 👏

1 YEAR! 💙

Wow. It’s hard to believe it’s been a full year since we had our very first Checkmate event.

What started as a Friday night of 5 a side, scrambling around trying to get enough players together, somehow turned into a full year of absolute mayhem. 😂

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way, individuals, community groups, businesses, charities and everyone who has backed what we’re trying to do.

But most importantly, a huge well done to every lad who has messaged us, turned up, got involved, helped out or simply stepped through the door. 👏

This group is for you.

We started Checkmate with one simple promise, to help as many men in our area as we can to live a better life and look after their mental wellbeing. That promise hasn’t changed, and it won’t.

We’ve got plenty more coming up to finish this year and even more planned for the next, so get in touch, get involved and bring a mate along.

Here’s to another year. 🤛👊💪💙

STRONGER MEN. BETTER LIVES.

We absolutely love anything like this! 👊

Jordan Parkin takes on his second opponent, this takes some courage and we back Jordan to get the job done! this time he is doing it to raise money for Checkmate, we couldn’t be more grateful to be chosen.👏

What a cracking night of fighting is set in store, if you want any tickets or any information message us or Jordan himself.

It’s nearly been a year since we set up. 😮
Come along and join us for a night of pool, darts, pizza and good crack with the lads.

A chance to get everyone together, have a laugh and catch up with the lads you’ve spent the last year getting to know through all the different Checkmate events.

Whether you’ve been to one event or you’ve been to them all, everyone’s welcome. Come on your own or bring a mate.

Would be great to see plenty of familiar faces there. 💙

Drop us a DM and we will put you in the WhatsApp group, where we have nearly 190 lads in the community who come to a whole range of events and activities. So drop us a message and get involved.

STRONGER MEN. BETTER LIVES.

What a cracking game of football that was ⚽️👏

Two groups coming together for a great day of football, with the Checkmate lads narrowly taking it
6–5, although the scoreline is irrelevant.

Today was about getting lads out the house, getting active and having a good day, which is always the goal.

Well done to everyone from Men Together Chester-Le-Street for coming along and getting stuck in. Plenty of strong challenges, good football and either team could have nicked it right at the end.

Well done to all the lads involved 👏⚽️

Back to where it first started for Checkmate! ⚽️

Been a long time since we played at Coxhoe but brilliant to be back, we forgot how hard it was the ball never going out and playing for a hour solid!🤣.

Thanks to the lads for coming tonight!🙌
