I welcome you to this new week. This month my family is working on naming and validating our emotions/feelings. My 7-year-old daughter, who is still coming up with her conversational skills has been blowing my mind by naming her emotions while my son, on the other hand who is my little professor, has been using multiple emojis to describe his feelings. As we know, every emotion is valid and no one should feel comfortable dismissing how others feel.
I hope this inspires you to support your little ones in naming their emotions as this will help increase emotional awareness whether or not they can speak.
There are several ways to do these activities with children or young adults who are pre-verbal if you know how best they communicate. ๐๐ค

I have something interesting I plan to share very soon. It will be about something that most of my friends, and possibly some family members, have been wondering about. It is on the journey of how I got treatment for my Malocclusion
This refers to a condition where teeth are not aligned properly, meaning the upper and lower teeth do not fit together correctly when the mouth is closed. Often hereditary (which was my situation), this condition can cause issues like crowded, crooked, or protruding teeth, leading to difficulty chewing/biting, speech impediments, and increased risk of decay. This picture was taken on the 10th of December 2025. I know you have lots of questions. Watch this space.

I say a massive welcome to March. This weekend was quite restful and rejuvenating for me because I was fortunate to have a staycation alone for the first time in my life๐. I have had a group vacation, a family vacation, camp trips, work trips, and staycations with family, among other types of travel experiences. But this was just me, myself and I, alone with God. I had time to refill my cup, listen to my body, listen to hear what God is saying, detoxing spirit, soul and body and to reflect on the next steps in this season of my life. The best journey I would recommend is the journey of purpose discovery or rediscovery and realignment.
There is a Chinese proverb that says no matter how long you have travelled in the wrong direction, you can NEVER get to your destination. In addition, the body needs rest to help us fulfil purpose and destiny. You can start small with a couple of hours and build it up.

Happy new week of half-term break๐ ๐ ๐ !
I find that I am in a better frame of mind to nurture and love up on my Masterpieces when I have filled my love tank. On Valentine's Day, I treated myself to a date after going swimming with my children and taking them to a soft play, and on Sunday, I dressed up for church. These are part of the ways I fill my tank up ready for the daily commitments that stare me in the face. I manage my energy level, plan, prioritise, pray and surround myself with people who speak strength and life into me to help me stay sane ๐. In all, God has been sooo faithful.
Remember, we can't pour from an empty cup. I encourage you to find joy in your journey. You are enough and are the best parent your children will ever have.
I am rooting for you as you love up on the child you have not the one you wished you had.๐ค๐ค๐ฅฐ

Good Day, my family, and welcome to the month of Februaryโค๏ธ๐๐น๐๐ฝ. In this season, I encourage us to focus on strategies that help us manage our emotions effectively around our Masterpieces, friends, family,y and others in our sphere of influence. It's ok not to be ok. When you are at your low state, who are the people you can reach out to or activities you can do to help you regulate your nervous system? We have an opportunity to change the narrative and not allow negative patterns to repeat themselves in our lives or that of our Masterpieces in Jesus' name. Amen
The picture above is one I took when I attended a parents' wellbeing event in the woods on Wednesday. We were taught to make our own candles, journals, and even cook our food using the fire we made ourselves. It was amazing.โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ I came back refreshed and reenergized. There is something about the power of nature. Yesterday I took a wellbeing walk on the seafront as well. These things add up in one way or another! Kindly share the things you do to manage your stress levels! ๐

Hello my family ๐๐พ, how interesting has your week been?
Something is interesting about my week and I thought of sharing it with you ๐.
I recently came across an article about how regular walking can significantly enhance memory and cognitive function, particularly as we age, by improving blood flow to the brain and promoting the growth of new brain cells.
Some known benefits of walking for memory are
๐Improved cognitive function
๐Increased Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF)
Which is a protein that helps with the growth of new brain cells and helps existing ones thrive
๐Enhanced Neuroplasticity where the brain reorganises itself and forms new neural connections for learning new skills.
๐It reduces cognitive decline such as Dementia and Alzheimer's.
๐It helps reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Ways to make it fun
๐Make it at least 30 minutes several times a week so that you don't see it as a chore.
๐Mix it with learning. Audiobooks or podcasts are great suggestions.
๐Try walking with others virtually or in real life. This, here is my favourite because it's more effective and enjoyable. I do this with my children a lot
I wonder who else is already in the WhatsApp group or is willing to join us. We have a chance to change the narrative and make a difference.

How is the nurturing going?
This week is nearly coming to an end. How are you showing kindness to yourself as you pour into your masterpieces?
I was invited by my orthodontist team to share a testimonial about my experience wearing braces to correct a congenital tooth misalignment. I used it as an opportunity start a campaign against bullying due to conditions we have no control over. Most children and young adults with additional needs need to wear braces, but their heightened sensory processing difficulties could be in the way of them achieving this treatment plan.
This year, I would encourage us to seize opportunities to advocate for those who can't do it for themselves. May God bless and keep you as you enjoy God's uncommon favour this year in Jesus'name.

Dear Parents,
How are you feeling today?
This is the last day and week of this awesome year 2025 and we can make each passing second count by making the most of it. Feel free to call for help if needed. Cuddle your children more, randomly hug and reaffirm them and take wellbeing walks around your neighbourhood or in your garden (if you hqve one). ๐ฅฐ
We visited Winter Wonderland in London over the weekend. We made the most of our time there despite the many meltdowns and transition challenges. I told the family I collaborated with that I am happy I made the effort to take my children to Winter Wonderland and went through what we experienced, rather than not attending due to fear of the unknown.
