The 11th Eastleigh (North Stoneham) Scout Group who are based at the new YMCA Eastleigh Community Centre in North Stoneham Park, has only been going since June half term, but have already made a positive impact with uniting the new community and are currently progressing to be a key aspect of the new community life.
With new young people aged between 6 and 14 already actively Scouting as part of their Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop, they have already taken part in a range of activities and outdoor pursuits, including kayaking and rafting at Lakeside Country Park, Outdoor Adventures at Lyons Copse Scout Campsite and Camping in the New Forest.
We hope that you can all join us in welcoming them to the District and wishing them the best of luck for the foreseeable future in Scouting; with the new adventures and opportunities that will be experienced, the that are learnt, and the positive memories that are created.
The leadership team are made up of all new volunteers, all with their own reasons for joining; from improving their well-being, making new friends, gaining for the future, trying something different, spending time with their children and family and doing something good for the community.
They have all done tremendously well to succeed so far and have shown the greatest enthusiasm, dedication, and the positivity to have a successfully operating Scout Group in Eastleigh.
