This is the official page for Lakeside Country Park. Since its reclamation it has become a valued area for wildlife.
This urban sanctuary is owned and managed by Eastleigh Borough Council and was a historically a gravel pit.

We will be open on the Bank Holiday Monday 19 September for those who wish to have some quiet moments of reflection or take advantage of the outdoors for their wellbeing.
The toilet block will be closed to allow staff to also mark this day of mourning.

Despite the moody skies tempting rain this morning, Lakeside Country Park remained a hive of activity with the model boat club amongst other visitors!
We have a model boat club who routinely book the lakes between 9am-12pm on Wednesday, Friday and Sundays throughout the year. If you'd like to join the club, please contact them here:

Join a guided walk around the Country Park with a member of Hampshire Bat Group. The evening starts with an informative talk about these fascinating mammals, followed by a walk with detectors to discover what species inhabit the park.
The walk will last for an hour and cover 2km.
