Hi everyone,

I will be standing for the Non-Executive Director position in the upcoming BJA elections.

You can read my profile when the voting papers are released but here is a short summary of my candidacy.

I have been involved in judo for over 35 years as a player, a parent, a coach and a volunteer. Unlike a number of the other candidates, most of my judo has been at grass roots and understand the importance of this, although I have had some international experience as a Masters player and coach.

I believe I will bring a pragmatic approach to the board if elected and will tackle every situation with an open minded impartial perspective.

I believe that British Judo’s primary role is to serve it’s members and deliver inclusive supportive services to all its Clubs, members and volunteers.

I have a number of business skills which I would be bringing with me to enhance the wealth of knowledge already on the board to aid it’s decision making.
