Yesterday was a sad day for football with the death of iconic and legendary Sir Bobby Charlton .
He survived the Munich air disaster and was the pillar of what Sir Matt Busby built his new team around, leading The Red Devils and England to European and World Cup glory.
Football has lost another real gentleman whose mannerism on and off the pitch were a measure for all who followed him, especially at Old Trafford.
RIP Sir Bobby.

Thank you everyone for your continued support and best wishes for a speedy recovery from my recent hip replacement surgery.
It’s be one month today from the operation and I’m delighted with my progress. I’m down to one crutch for support 50% of the time and none the other 50% - so all coming along really well. Hopefully by end of next week be walking most of the time unaided.
Been following exercise and medicine routine as directed and feeling much stronger.
Once more, thanks for all the wonderful messages. It’s meant a lot to me and has made me more determined to work hard on my recovery.

Many thanks to surgeon Mr Weston and all the nurses, staff and anesthetisers at the new Highland Training Centre for looking after me.
Surgery successful and now the rehab begins. I’m looking forward to pain free hip for first time in three decades .

Apologies for no recent posts but mixture of “Cup Final Fever” some illness had taken its toll!
30 years after an arthritic hip diagnosis I have had very quick and surprisingly speedy consultations.
In December I had a scan and was told (what I already knew having been diagnosed with arthritis in my hip at 28 years old) that I would be put forward to see a surgeon.
Last month the meeting was as expected. He said I needed a full hip replacement. My wife has been helping me put on my socks and tie my shoe laces; I’ve also been sleeping on and off. So operating was the only option.
The scan also revealed bone spurs developing so the surgery is recommended to be sooner rather than later .
I had a pre-op assessment last week and had everything approved at the fantastic new centre at Inverness University. This means it will come within next few months. It will also mean an 8 week rehab from 2 crutches to one, then a walking stick and hopefully walking unaided in no time at all.
I will do my best to keep you all updated. Those who have had it you will know what lies ahead!
As always thank you for your support and bare with me if spells of non posting! I’ll try to be more frequent over the coming months.

Fantastic day for the club yesterday; through to our second final after a great 3-0 win over Falkirk.
Brilliant achievement for Billy and the players. A big shout out to the 4000 Inverness fans who set off between 6 and 7 am to get to to support the team and the coaching staff.
Congratulations on Billy McKay on the achievement of getting his 100th goal for the club, and Mark Ridgers his 100th career clean sheet.
Also a special day for Dan Mackay - Inverness born and bred and I’m sure the whole town is very proud.
Looking forward to June 2nd but now all roads lead to the Caledonian Stadium for another massive game on Friday.

Unfortunately our beloved oldest dog and “leader of our pack” passed away today after battling illness for the past few months .
Diesel celebrated his 15th birthday last month and and there was no doubt he was the “top dog” in the house.
Our hearts are broken despite knowing this day was fast approaching . If you have a dog, you will know how we are feeling at his moment. But he is no longer in pain and will now be playing with his brother scooby over the 🌈 bridge .
Sleep well Diesel and know you were loved so much by us both and by your brothers # # #
