What it means to be a woman, on this path to the Absolute where there is no he or she, you or me, just One. I find myself often caught between thoughts of "who I am", my story, my traumas, trials, baptisms by fire, my moments of clarity, clear sight, of letting go. And then wanting to rise above all the stories, all the narratives, all the "I-ness", knowing this is the path to liberation.

But, but. I am a woman. I incarnated in this lifetime in the body of a woman. I have a womb. I have cycling oestrogen and progesterone that changes every day. And my natural state changes every day as they do. I am on some days, like clockwork, buoyant and light. And in other days, like clockwork, in shadow and grief.

I am a woman. As Ram Dass says, your freedom lies through your humanity, not in spite of it; and my freedom lies through my being a woman, not in spite of it. Praise the Lady that the right teachers appear on my path right when I need them.

As I continue to learn the teachings of wise men that came before me, I simultaneously learn the teachings of wise woman. Magdalene Mystery Schools, Tara Mandalas and Daikinis, Shakti Ta***ic practices. This isn't in opposite to, in spite of, or alternate to. All that's happening is those souls that incarnated as women in this lifetime, and will find freedom and liberation as women, are doing so through their divine gift of being woman.

I have much wisdom to offer, soon, on how to thrive as a woman on this path, even through the shadow of PMT, even through the moments that feel like possession when the Dark Feminine descends in our hormonal cycle and rage or fury appears. That, too, is part of our divine gift, divine path back to Wholeness. Freedom lies through our embodiment, not in spite of.

You don’t have to discover your purpose
You don’t have to realise god
You don’t have to make it onto the 100 sexiest people list
You don’t have to get a B+ average You don’t have to be able to do a handstand
You don’t have to prove anything
You don’t have to earn a right to be here
You don’t have to go to that party
You don’t have to reply to all your emails
You don’t have to be nice to everyone
You don’t have to say the right thing all the time
You don’t have to see the world
You don’t have to make the world see you
You don’t have to impress your mum and dad
Or the person you love
Anyone worth loving will be inherently impressed by you
You don’t have to be the best
Or even the second best
You don’t have to create anything amazing
You ARE something amazing.
A human being, not a human doing
Congratulations on the great achievement of being born
The only necessary achievement
And then from our relaxation, who knows what we might do? ❤️.
