Yesterday’s Man of the Match was Drew Doherty 👏

In what was a below-par performance from us as a team, Drew stood out with a superb individual display. He also capped off his performance by scoring his first goal at EOS senior level ⚽️

A midfielder by trade, Drew has recently made the switch to playing in defence and continues to show massive growth and development week on week. His attitude, work rate and willingness to adapt have been excellent.

Well done, Drew — very well deserved! 👏

A defeat at St Marks Park today as we go down 3–1 to Arniston Rangers.

It was far from our best performance, and while we’re disappointed with the result, Arniston deserved the three points on the day.

The afternoon was made even more difficult when Krzysiek Goldie was shown a second yellow card with around 30 minutes remaining, leaving us to finish the game with 10 men. A frustrating decision from our perspective, with the second yellow feeling extremely soft.

We dust ourselves down and go again. 💪

We’re delighted to welcome midfielder Andrew McGeough to Edinburgh CFC!

Andy joins us having captained Edinburgh University U20s last season and made his Edinburgh CFC debut as a second-half substitute in our 3-2 victory over Hawick at the weekend.

From the moment he stepped onto the pitch, Andy showed exactly what he can bring to the squad — quality on the ball, composure and non-stop energy throughout his appearance. 💪⚽️

Another exciting addition to the squad as we build for the 2026/27 season.

📣 We’re looking for a little help from our local community! 💛

We’re currently looking for a local business or individuals who would be willing to support us with the repair and refurbishment of the front of the pavilion at St Mark’s Park.

Unfortunately, the existing cladding and window bays have weathered over the years and are now starting to fall into disrepair. We’re hoping to give the front of the pavilion a much-needed facelift by replacing the existing cladding with marine plywood sheeting and adding “Welcome to St Mark’s Park” to the frontage.

We’d also love the opportunity to include a sponsor’s logo on one end of the pavilion, giving a local business some great community exposure while helping us improve an important facility for everyone who uses the park. 🙌

The great news is that we already have a local business who has kindly offered to carry out all the work completely FREE of charge! ❤️

All we need now is some help with the cost of purchasing the materials.

Just behind us are Linton Hotspur on 9 points, followed by Arniston Rangers, Hawick and Ormiston Primrose, all on 7 points.

That means Saturday’s visitors, Arniston Rangers, are just two points behind CFC — making the race in the middle of the table incredibly tight.
