Another weekend, another show 💪

First up was Deryn Farrer, who accepted a late call up once again, boxing well and to instruction, showing improvements he’s been working on in the club. A mix up In The third round probably cost Deryn the wrong end of a split decision against a strong Doghouse Opponent, however overall a very positive performance and yet more experience banked in what has been a busy season for him 💪

Second up was Findlay McKenzie, in a skills bout, and his first outing in a Meadowbank vest 🎉 Findlay is one of the hardest working lads in the gym, his focus to learn and better himself each week is all coming together perfectly, with both Findlay and his opponent putting on a great show for the crowd, outstanding work lads 🙌

Not our usual Thursday night!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We were south of the Border with 2 of the team last night on the Newbiggin homeshow, a brilliant show with a great atmosphere.

Keean Harrison was first up, and as he always is, in a proper tear up, the home Boxer was busy and front footed, with Keean matching that, both boys not taking their foot of the gas from start to finish, while the decision never went our way, it's definitely a bout we'd take a return on as it was a cracker, experience gained again for Keean who is always game to take any bout offered, couldn't be prouder of how he handles himself. 💪

Last up, Esosa Osemwegie in the main event bout, a masterclass from Esosa, picking his shots with thought and moving well against a very dangerous strong home Boxer, not a guy to stand and trade with!! Esosa picking up a well deserved unanimous decision.

Another busy weekend for some of our Boxers,

Friday night - vs International show. We had Esosa Osemwegie up against a vastly more experienced Irish International, Esosa moving up weight division to take on one of Irelands Commonwealth games hopefuls, an incredibly close bout, with our man losing the split decision, many felt he'd nicked it, but wasn't to be, a strong performance from Esosa in only his 2nd bout in the last year, showing that he's very much capable of mixing it up with the very best, zero rest, as he's due to Box across the border on the Ashington show this coming week, mature performance and one to learn from. 💪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇮🇪

Saturday - homeshow, we had 3 of our young team on, Kason Harrison first up in a cub bout, for two little lads not even at the age to box competitive bouts yet, what a performance by both, Kason and his home opponent showcasing some great Boxing skills, these wee lads are going to cause problems as they grow!! 🔥

Second up, Sonny Donaghy, a fast paced bout, against a tough forward fighting home boxer, both lads having good spells, but Sonny's experience showing giving him a 4:1 split decision win. 🏅

Last up for the day, we had Alfie Sherazee, fresh of his debut win last week, in against a great little home boxer, both boys showing Boxing skills way above their young age, our Alfie just falling short on a 4:1 split decision on the day, but a fantastic performance regardless of result.

We had 4 Boxers on the Gears Boxing Acadamy Homeshow in Aberdeen last night, picking up 3 wins from 4,

First up, Alfie Sherazee, in his first scoring contest, we've not seen a more calm kid before a bout, taking it all in, then going in there, showing slick Boxing skills and some nice counter punching to secure him a 4:1 split decision win, Alfie 100% is made to be infront of a crowd! 💪🤣

Second in was Keean Harrison, a solid performance from Keean, giving his opponent a standing 8 count in the 3rd on his way to a UD win. This bout was an absolute barnstormer and had the crowd on their feet, both boys leaving it all in there, a fantastic match up and worth the entrance money alone.

Third up, Piotr Kubas, a dominant, aggressive performance against a seriously tough, game opponent, Piotr just proving to strong on the night, giving 2 standing 8 counts, before the ref stopped the contest in the 3rd round, Piotr taking TKO win.

Last up, Deryn Farrer, Co main event and it lived up to that, Deryn Boxing well and landing some eye catching shots, his opponent on the night just that bit busier with Deryn losing the decision.

We couldn't be more proud of the boys last night, each one of them showcasing some great Boxing skills and proving that the work they put in the gym is paying off.

Wasn't to be for our Rhys today, losing the decision to a very experienced and strong lad from Hutchison Boxing Acadamy, both boys showing some great work but ultimately it was experience coming through on the day, this was Rhys' first attempt at an open class tournament, and he's shown over the weekend that if he keeps working away as he is, he'll be well in the mix in these tournaments going forward.💪

Unlucky today Rhys, you should be proud of how you've Boxed across the weekend, as we all are, we push on 🥊🥊

A fantastic performance today at the Caledonia Box Cup from our Rhys Hemming, winning by Unanimous decision against really skillful lad from Highland Boxing Acadamy,

A very mature performance, having to adapt throughout in what was a very technical bout, he now progresses to the final tomorrow.

Huge well done wee man 💪💪💪
