Huge squad heading to Fife this weekend for Round 3 of the Scottish Youth Circuit series.

It's brilliant to see our road squad going from strength to strength, with more and more of our young riders pinning on a number together. Good luck to everyone racing, and a big thanks to our friends at FJBC for organising.

🔟 heading north for the next round of the .mtbseries at Crombie Country Park this weekend!

It's been a big week of road racing for ERC Youth, with riders out at both the Trofeo Clarion and the Richard Moore Series over the last few days.

Amazing to see so many of them on the podium, some for the first time. Congratulations to Finn, Corey, Esmarelda, Max, Aoife, Olaf and Teo on their medals, and well done to everyone who took part.

Dirt crit season is here, and it's been a brilliant few weeks for ERC Youth riders.

Over 20 of them have made the trip to Glentress, Callander Estate and our own Edinburgh race recently, taking on some of the best entry-level racing Scotland has to offer. For many, it's their first taste of race day, and there's no better format to start with- short, punchy, and a lot of fun.

The results have been solid too, with a handful of podiums to celebrate along the way.

More dirt crit rounds to come through May. If your child has been thinking about giving racing a go, this is the perfect place to start.

Something a little different last weekend, as ERC hosted its first Off Road Duathlon in East Lothian. For many of our riders, it was their first time racing in a duathlon format, and they took to it well. A smattering of podiums across the age groups, with wins for Alice, Corey and Finn.

Great to see so many riders willing to step outside their usual discipline and give something new a go. More of this, please.

What a weekend for ERC riders.

It kicked off with our own club dirt crit, where over 40 riders turned out for a brilliant day of grassroots racing. For some it was their first time pinning on a number, and that's exactly what this club is about.

Then to 10 Under The Ben, where Corey, Finn and Ruaridh made it a day to remember. Corey won the U11 Solo and took the overall, while Finn and Ruaridh claimed the U14 Pairs and the overall too. A massive effort from all three, and a big thank you to Allan and Ruairi for keeping them on track out there.

Over at Tarland SXC, Reuben and Aoife both stepped onto the podium, finishing in the top three in U8 and U10 respectively.

The racing doesn't stop there. Our MTB riders are at Glentress again tonight for the latest dirt crit, and the road riders head to Linlithgow this week for the opening round of the Richard Moore Series.

As well as the individual rounds and overall series, we'll also be running a Prime series again this year - with points scored by the first 3 riders over the line on any prime laps.

The Prime series was introduced last year to encourage more attacking racing, and give riders who aren't always competing for the win at the finish something to race for earlier in the race.

Last year's Prime series resulted in some exciting racing to try to grab the points - with some riders breaking away to take prime points, while others waited for the sprint.

We're looking forward to seeing more of the same this year!

Our weekly sessions bring together riders at every stage, from younger kids just getting started on the trails to teenagers who've been building their skills for years. Same club, same coaches, same Saturday morning.
