Sometimes the hardest part of yoga is just… arriving.
Feet on the mat. Breath settling. Mind still catching up.
This moment — the very first pause before you move — is where your practice truly begins.
A reminder that you don’t need to be flexible, strong, or “ready.”
You just need to meet yourself exactly where you are.
One breath. One step. One mat.
That’s enough.

This week we’re beginning a brand‑new theme in class: Drishti + Backbends ✨
A beautiful pairing of focus and heart‑opening.
🌟Drishti is your soft, steady gaze point — a simple tool that helps calm the mind, sharpen concentration and bring you fully into the present moment.
💜Backbends open the front body, strengthen the back body and create space across the chest and lungs. They’re energising, uplifting and brilliant for counteracting desk posture.
🌟Over the next two weeks we’ll explore how these two elements work together to create a practice that feels grounded, spacious and deeply connected.
💜If you’d love to build confidence, improve posture, or simply feel more open and focused — this is a gorgeous theme to join.
See you on the mat ✨🧘♀️

My first Urdva Danurasana since fracturing my wrist 3 months ago….. in all honesty my wrist was fine in this pose. No pain, it felt strong and supportive….. what had I been worried about? The real pose I need to do more of with my wrist is reverse prayer pose where there is a deep flection, and pressure going through the wrist….. not bad for my first time in ages! 😁💗✨

Shavasana isn’t always easy.
In fact, for many people, it’s the hardest part of the practice.
At first, lying still can feel strange — like you “don’t need it,” or like your mind hasn’t quite got the memo that the movement is over. Switching off takes practice, just like any posture.
But this quiet rest at the end is where your body absorbs the work you’ve done.
It’s where your nervous system softens, your breath settles, and your mind finally gets a moment to land.
A few minutes of stillness can be the most healing part of the whole class.
Sometimes the magic isn’t in the doing… it’s in the letting go.
