Sad news.

It is with shattered hearts and disbelief that the world mourns the passing of Chuck Norris — a legend whose very name once seemed immortal. Today the sun set on a hero who kicked down barriers and stood unbowed against every impossible challenge, and yet now the silence he leaves behind echoes louder than any roar he ever gave. We grieve not just the loss of a martial artist and screen icon, but the fading of a force that made us believe strength could be kind, courage could be real, and a single man could stand tall in the face of every storm. In this dark hour, tears mix with memories of his unmatched spirit — a spirit the world will forever carry.

The tiger itself reflects strength, alertness, and fighting spirit, while the circular border reminds practitioners that true karate is not wild aggression but controlled force guided by character. Sad to hear this. Kevin was a good friend back in the jsk days and we wish him well for the future.

A message from Renshi Leigh:
After much deliberation and consulting senior students, I have decided to retire from Karate and to close Kodokai at the end of February. After 50 years of pure dedication to the art this was an extremely difficult decision.

Our last lesson as Kodokai will be Wednesday 25th of February.

We would like to thank all those who have been a member of Kodokai, past and present as well as everyone who has attended the courses and gashuku that we have hosted over the years.

Our club website will remain live with the gallery so you can continue to look back over all of the fond memories dating back to 2000.
