Enfield Cricket Club This is the Enfield CC page, bringing you news on what's happening at our friendly cricket club. We won the Middlesex Clubs Trophy in 2016.

Friendly community cricket club for all ages based in Enfield, Middlesex. Founded in 1856 Enfield Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in England's south-east. It was one of the founder members of the Middlesex County Cricket League and has a fine history. The clubs honours include winning Middlesex County League titles, Middlesex County Cups and the National Club Cricket Knock-Out Cup in 1988. And, with that, our season is over.

Firstly, let's start with the positive: our 4s are back-to-back league champions! Not a bad return having only formed 3 seasons ago! Congratulations to all of the players on another fantastic season. Onwards and upwards!

Our 1s finished the season with a solid win over London Tigers CC. Ultimately, the season didn't pan out as we'd hoped it would but we'll be ready to go again in 2027.

Then to our 2s & 3s. Both sides went into the weekend knowing they had to win and hope that other results went their way. The 3s did manage that win, but, unfortunately, were not helped by other teams and, thus, it was not enough.
And, the 2s, despite a valiant 11th-wicket stand of 78, didn't quite have enough to get over the line against Finchley.
It was a disappointing season for the 2s & 3s, especially after the highs of last year, but we'll be back!

Tomorrow brings the final league games of the season, and there’s still plenty to play for across the club.

The 2s and 3s are both fighting to stay up. They need wins against Finchley and Shepherds Bush respectively, then must hope results elsewhere go their way.

At the other end of the table, the 4s travel to Letchworth Garden City looking to finish the season by clinching the title.

The 1s are also on the road, facing London Tigers in their final fixture.

The 2s start from 12pm at Lincoln Road, so come down and get behind them if you can. Good luck to all four teams. Let’s finish strongly! 🏏

The club is sad to report the death of ex-player Keith Dalwood. A club vice-president and long standing member, Keith’s funeral is this Saturday the 5th September at 11:30 at New Southgate Crematorium, N11 1JJ and afterwards at West Lodge Hotel, EN4 0PY from 13:00.

The club extends its sympathies to his wife Maureen, children Anthony and Loretta, and all the family.

Round 16 Results

Unfortunately, our 1s & 3s came second in their games this weekend. This was especially disappointing for our 3s, who are now very much fighting for survival in Division 3.

However, a much better day for our 2s & 4s! Our 2s held their nerve to beat top of the league, Harrow Town Cricket Club, and create the smallest of gaps between them and the relegation zone. Our 4s had another strong win, vs. Preston CC, and continue their push for the title.

A massive two weeks left.
