Race Report ๐Ÿ Round 8 Athboy ๐Ÿ

Luke #40

Qualifying - Luke loves this track and went out and had a cracker session. Luke just goes out and has fun and if he gets a podium finish itโ€™s a bonus ๐Ÿ™ˆ Luke can ride that bike though and set himself up well for the day with a strong P2 in Qual so he was chuffed to bits with himself as he should be ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Race 1 - With Luke snoozing at the start line he was abit late to the party so had abit of work to do but Luke wasnโ€™t long getting back in the game taking back the couple of positions he lost with what seems to be a fahy bros signature move and securing himself his P3.

Race 2 - Alert and maybe too eager this time off the start line with a big wheelie he was away like lighting. Knowing he had to ride hard to secure his overall for the day he rode well and all while putting in the fastest lap of the race he managed to race his way to a P2 finish ๐Ÿ™Œ what a result.

Race 3 - With the front runners having there own battle for the Championship Luke made the wise decision to get himself into a very comfortable P3 where he rode his own race with no real pressure from behind, kept her steady and consistent to bring it home in P3.

Was a strong weekend for Luke and overall finished in P2. Going into Round 9 at Nuttscorner in a few weeks with more points taking the pressure of him trying to secure his P3 in the championship ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™Œ way to go Luke

Race Report ๐Ÿ Round 8 Athboy ๐Ÿ

Another weekend, another round. Nice dry track, two bikes running sweet, two determined riders made for a great days racing for the bros.

Callum #28
Qual - Didnโ€™t go the way we had hoped with his transponder not working and him crashing out in lap 3 gave him no qualifying time so he was starting at the back of the grid. Nobody puts Callum at the back of the grid though and what he went on to do was nothing short of amazing..

Race 1 - Long story short, he didnโ€™t make it to the grid on time and even though he fought hard and only completed 5 1/2 laps instead of 6 it didnโ€™t count so he finished last in the race but not before he put in the fastest lap of the race out of everyone ๐Ÿ‘

Race 2 - Starting at the back of the pack and with what happened in Qual and Race 1 he went out knowing he had alot of work to do and fought his way to P3 in the first lap, riding that bike like itโ€™s never been ridden before and finally finishing the Race in P2 and again setting the fastest lap of the race ๐Ÿ™Œ

Race 3 - Another strong start Callum took back the positions one by one with some undeniably epic moves and as he was on the tail of P1 the race was unfortunately red flagged and the race was called. Thankfully the riders were up and walking ๐Ÿ™ Callum finished again in P2 and securing another fastest lap of the race. 3/3 ainโ€™t bad.

Callum really turned the day around and should be so proud of what he did out there on track and took back his P2 overall in the Championshipโ€ฆfor now!!

PS This didnโ€™t happen on our own though and a big big shout out to TMR Antrim for sourcing the minor detail of an engine for Callum two days before the round and Browneauto Repairs for working literally through the night to get it in and ready for callum for practice on Friday, wouldnโ€™t have happened without you both ๐Ÿ™ Thanks is also in order to for changing the breaks after the crash in Qual ๐Ÿ™Œ Team effort
๐Ÿ“ธTwo Brothers Photography Thankyou

๐Ÿ Round 4 Three Sisters ๐Ÿ

Wasnโ€™t one of Callumโ€™s most positive rounds, but there was a lot to take away from this. Callumโ€™s first time out on track with other riders on his new bike, new style of riding, different gears. Had two track days on the bike so there was alot of pressure on him and was a big risk from the get go. Went out on Saturday and secured a strong P4 for Race 1 on the Sunday .
That evening we got Callumโ€™s bike put on the dyno
,it had a story to tell ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ On more investigating and with the help of at Browneauto Repairs and TMR Antrim (much appreciated) we got her up abit on the Dyno, new set of tyres on and the bike was as good as we were getting it. Since been discovered Callumโ€™s been riding nothing more than a glorified bam bam the last few rounds, yet again putting him at a disadvantage, anyway we move though ๐Ÿ™„ with that being said letโ€™s get into race day.

Race 1 - Wasnโ€™t the best start for Callum but held his position for a couple of laps until he messed up the gears abit (opposite on his 125cc he race at imc)going into a corner which lost him a position and then when he came round again he hit a marshal on track that was dealing with an incident which gave his head (and bike) a wobble too and you could just see he gave up then, riding round shaking his head, different riding position. Finished in P5.

Race 2 - Callum went out very deflated from the last race and starting in P5 his head just wasnโ€™t there. Was a stronger start for Callum and gained a position off the start line but unfortunately couldnโ€™t hold it and lost his position after the 2nd lap. Could see the lap times slipping just knew his head wasnโ€™t there and with a bit of pressure then coming from behind he rode her home for another P5 finish ๐Ÿ‘

Now home get the bikes sorted and to focus on Round 8 of the Irish Minibike Championships coming up in two weeks where both boys will be back out on track, both fighting for overall podium finishes Callum few points short of gaining back P2 overall and Luke currently in a strong P3 position overall going onto the last few rounds ๐Ÿ™Œ

Lastly big shout out to the rest of the Irish Lads for smashing Round 4 and bringing home the medals again..Harry Birch Racing you are a force to be reckoned with, what a season for you on both sides of the water ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

๐Ÿ Round 7 Kirkistown ๐Ÿ

Callum #28

Wasnโ€™t the best round for Callum, with his bike once again letting him down. First time out on this track and he gave it his best shot with what he had. We have a plan though ๐Ÿ‘€ Focus is on the British now for Callum coming up in a few weeks.

Qualified - 6th
Race 1 - 6th
Race 2 - 5th
Race 3 - 6th

Luke #40

Lukeโ€™s first time out on this track also and he was a flyer!! Nose deep into the chicanes, not a bother on him. He had a solid day racing and should be very proud of his results. Luke has been consistent right throughout the season and when the podiums started coming he got hungrier and it shows out on the track.

Qualified - P2
Race 1 - P3
Race 2 - P3
Race 3 - P3

Thanks to Browneauto Repairs for keeping the boys bikes in top condition.
Thanks for the ๐Ÿ“ธ

๐ŸRound 3 British Mini Bikes Championship Rowrah ๐Ÿ

Back again for another whirl at this track on a new bike.At the first round Callum came home with a 3rd place medal on his standard IMC BamBam and terrible conditions.
Arrived for Friday practice session and the weather was just not giving. Got about 7 laps in the whole day and after a slide in the morning we pulled the pin on practice.
Thankfully the weather improved dramatically over the weekend.
Callum went out for qualifying and put in a solid performance securing P3 on the grid for Race 1 on Sunday getting his PB of 1.01. It didnโ€™t stop there though..

Race 1
Callum went out again faster than qualifying and put in another PB breaking into the 1mins. As soon as the lights went out he just got into the flow of it and was on a mission with a 12 lap race ahead he was lit and went on to secure P3. Delighted with himself.

Race 2
Callum went out P3 on the grid again determined to secure another win, where he went out again putting in faster times than the last race breaking into the 59 seconds. Unfortunately didnโ€™t have the best start and was in P4 through the first corner where he tried to find a way through over a couple of laps but he wasnโ€™t making it easy for Callum and then came the opportunity where Callum got the inside line and drive outta corner 4 and he was away staying consistent throughout the remainder of the laps bringing his lap times down every time securing him another P3.

All in all a successful weekend for Callum closing that gap in the overall Championship. With only 2 rounds left of the British it could come down to the very last race.
Well done to all the Irish Lads for there efforts and wins this weekend.
