Aaaargh!!!!!

So excited.

My FREE masterclass is on this evening and I am BUZZING

Yes I have a collection of cold, and cough
Yes my cat has just had a massive punch up with a trespasser (other cat)
Yes my stomach has decided today is the day it plays up

But.... despite all this, I am genuinely so so excited, which is weird as I thought I would be a nervous wreck, but I know what I am talking about

If you are an ADHD/AuDHD woman, crawling out of burnout, fed up of putting plasters over a situation, then this is for you.

Please come and join me tonight 8PM here

Today was absolutely wild…. And I’m not talking, Sunday hangover or epic festival

I mean, the rollercoaster of emotions this household and this bub has had to endure

She went to bed on a meltdown as she had to leave a party early that I stayed at for a friend’s 40th because the pub couldn’t host kids after 9pm.

This meant she was 3 hours under her normal sleep, and neurodivergent minds can often run on significant less capacity when over tired.

Coupled with the heat, which again impairs neurodivergent brains dropping executive function by 20%, we were white knuckling it

I think I have sinusitis and a chest infection and the baby woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Fluffy cat had dried diarrhoea that needed removing from her backside and subsequently shredded my eldest chest and ruined a very expensive tshirt.

AuDHD husband does not do well with impulsive actions such as climbing the Wendy house on to the very very dangerous lean too

So all in all, we made it through the day, but we did not make it through unscathed 😂

But we do have an axolotyl for grandma

Spicy households I see you….. ❤️

**When the World Misunderstands an ADHD Child**

Some children grow up hearing words that quietly follow them everywhere.

“Too sensitive.”
“Too distracted.”
“Too difficult.”
“Not trying hard enough.”

And after hearing those things for years, they slowly begin to believe them.

What many people never realize is that ADHD often hides behind misunderstandings. A child who struggles to focus may actually be fighting a brain that never slows down. A child who forgets things may not be careless at all. Sometimes they are simply overwhelmed by thoughts, emotions, sounds, expectations, and pressure all happening at once.

The heartbreaking part is that many ADHD children learn to mask their struggles before they even understand themselves. They become experts at pretending they are okay while secretly wondering why simple things feel harder for them than everyone else.

I once spoke to someone who said the moment they finally understood their ADHD, their entire past suddenly made sense. They stopped viewing themselves as “lazy” or “broken” and started seeing how hard they had been trying all along.

That kind of understanding changes everything.

Because a label used with compassion is not something that limits a person. Sometimes it becomes the first step toward self-acceptance, support, and healing. It gives people language for experiences they could never explain before.

And honestly, every child deserves to grow up feeling understood instead of constantly feeling “wrong.”

The more we learn about ADHD, the more we realize these minds were never failures. They were simply misunderstood for far too long.

I got a delightful comment on my Facebook yesterday by someone who thinks my head wobbles like a disco ball I’m guessing?

Not sure as it’s not entirely sensical but old me, younger me, would have been so hurt by this

Now me thinks this is both sad and funny. Funny, because just imagine taking the time out of your day to boost my engagement by being a troll??

Sad, because having to live a life that’s going to cause you to genuinely bring pain on someone you don’t know…. You just have had trauma in your life

Anyway, just putting this out here to remind you that this place is just pictures and words. Not real life.

Remember who you are deep down, that’s who people love not a shiny curated version that random people on the internet feel they can judge without consequence

Crazy hair day…. Fun you say?…

Well yes, but when a neurodivergent child has a thought or an agreement made with you, they need I have it executed until they can move forward

So 6am I am woken up because I said I needed to get up a bit earlier to have time.

My error. I was not specific enough and so earlier to her meant when she was ready to.

Fully dressed.
Hair brushed.
All paraphernalia ready and waiting.
At 6am

Blearly eyed and desperate to go to the loo alone I asked to just have 5 minutes to wash and brush my teeth.

Nope. I was followed and she couldn’t rest until the hair had been done to her satisfaction.

However, despite it all, both of us had a great time together and she was super happy with how it turned out!!!

Happy crazy hair day!!

Period brain fog….

Accidentally washed my hair on the unallocated hair washing day and now I’m all out of whack

Honestly fuming and only remembered half way through shampooing so of course full process then needed to be completed.

Urgh. First world problems I know but so bloody annoyed 😂

If you're going to do a thing today...

Do this thing

Register for my FREE masterclass. That's it.

I know, I know you've got 47 other tabs open, you just remembered something you forgot three weeks ago, and there's a very real chance you've already hyperfocused on something completely unrelated since you started reading this sentence.

BUT STAY WITH ME. 👇

The ADHD Burnout Breakthrough is happening on 3rd June at 8pm and it's for everyone whose brain has basically gone on strike.

We're talking:

✅ How to get out of paralysis (without a motivational speech that makes you want to cry)

✅ How to calm the chaos (the internal one - the house is your business)

✅ How to stop fighting your brain (spoiler: it's not the enemy, it's just dramatic)

..and all of this WITHOUT becoming a completely different person. You get to stay weird.

That's the deal.

Show up live and you'll also get The Beyond Typical Burnout First Aid Kit - a no-faff, 2-page PDF you can actually use the next time your brain locks up and refuses to start.

It's free.
It's on a Wednesday.
You've definitely done worse things on a Wednesday.
