Bexley AC is pleased once again to be organising the applications and trials for the Mini London Marathon Championships on behalf of London Borough of Bexley. Additional trial on 1st March as well as 8th and 22nd March.

We had a great evening last night celebrating Bexley AC’s 70th Anniversary at our annual Presentation Night. Thanks to everyone involved with the organisation, and well done to all the award winners! 🏆

July 2024 was a great month for Tobechi Azodoh!

As Bexley AC’s only competitor at the English Schools in Birmingham this year, he secured an excellent silver medal in the 100m hurdles in a personal best time of 13:49s! He then followed this up with a bronze medal representing England in the SIAB Schools International held in Wales a week later with a time of 13:56s.

Congratulations and well done to Tobechi and his coach John Gates. This goes to prove that hard work and persistence really does pay off.

A very big congratulations to Thomas Wright (coached by Richard Long) for an amazing achievement in the Zurich 2023 San Sebastián Marathon on 26th November.

Just look at that time: 2h 32m!! Wow. Thomas was up against some of the best international runners.

Thomas finished in 18th place with a big personal best performance beating his previous club record for the marathon. He ran it very sensibly, started steady and came through strongly, his fastest mile was actually mile 24 so a really good way to run it, strong to the end.

Tom is coached and inspired by Richard Long, and also does a lot of training runs solo. This is a perfect example of a great result based on a runner’s dedication and commitment.

A full scoring team for our senior men and a cracking 10th place finish for Joe O’Hara at Danson Park today for cross country hosted by Bexley AC!

Huge congratulations to Bexley AC athlete Faye Olszowka who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the Virtus Global Games in Vichy, France which runs from June 4 - June 10.

We are very proud of Faye's massive achievement. Well done and GOOD LUCK!!

As the outdoor track and field season begins, we would like to recognise the amazing success achieved by our athletes at the highest level in the recently completed indoor season:

Martin Lloyd – UK Champion – Masters High Jump
Marianne Berndt-Ortiz – Silver Medallist, Masters World Championship Shot Put

Excellent performances from these athletes including what we believe is the first World Champion in Bexley’s history.
