Follow up post from August......So with my little brother regularly catching some decent fish from that little local water it seemed the ideal venue to visit on our brothers social. However, the weather took a bit of a turn and we were met with rain and quite a cold northerly breeze upon arrival. We were also informed by the lakes owner that the lake had fished really badly the previous couple of days with just a few tench and a bream being caught.Oh dear!!
Well any doubts either of us may have had soon disappeared because within twenty minutes of starting little bruv was away!!And thats pretty much how the session went, with each of us having a little run of fish in turn.Final tally next day was nine for me,my brother had 14,with several twenty plus fish amoungst them.My best was literally the last bite just before packing up.Soon as I picked the rod up I could tell it was a better fish and it really gave a good account of itself.Shame the light was going because the pics dont really show the colours, with bright reds, scarlet and crimson fins and a stunning sunset orange underbelly.Very pretty fish which weighed in at 22lb, well chuffed with that! A great finish to this "interlude"session.A S A P barrels, wafter hookbaits with a paste wrap.
Enjoyable as this was however,I was looking forward to hopefully continue the great run of fish from my syndicate, while little bruv had got shiney new ticket starting soon, and the place looked the dogs!!!
