Devon Bass Bash

Due to lack of entrants and time frames of sorting the prizes and trophies I’ve decided that this summers Bash is cancelled.
Thank you to anyone who shared the event hugely appreciated.
To the 4 anglers who purchased tickets I’ll process refunds this coming week via PayPal

Good morning guys!

Less than a month away and unfortunately only a few tickets taken this summer. With the deadlines for purchasing some prizes and for the sponsors of the comp it’s hard to gauge value on prizes with only 4 tickets currently being sold.
With all previous Bashes we’ve been 20+ at this stage so I’ll do another batch of sharing the event leading up to this weekend and hopefully a few more tickets can sell as I don’t want to cancel this Bash but ultimately trophy, prizes and the sponsors have to look at the value of entrants when we had a few hundred quid in prizes (rods, lures and clothing) with it currently sitting at 4 is hard to work around.

Please give this post with the bashes info a share and hopefully in the coming week/weekend we can give it a boost.

Morning Guys!!!

Had to check the page as I thought it was quiet after I announced some more info!!! Turns out was still in drafts and hadn’t posted 😂😆😂😂

So this July will be the 3rd Bash and I can’t wait to see you all again!
The comp spans the 11th, 12th and 13th of July same as previous bashes you will be able to fish Friday to Sunday (back at the Exeter Shop for 4pm)

The fishing as in previous will be anywhere within Devon as long as it’s public land and you can get there on foot!!! No craft/boats/kayak etc!

Prizes will be as previous

- Largest singular Bass
- Top 3 combined
- Junior Bass
- Biggest Wrasse

All fish to be measured on proper fish tapes clearly from nose to longest point of tail with the tail laid naturally no tilting over or pushed together etc.

As always it’s a virtual start up early hours of Friday just after midnight Thurs and a physical sign off on Sunday 13th at Exeter Angling aim for 4pm I’ll do the winners roughly 4.30pm

It’s now being bumped up to £15 an entry payable F&f via PayPal, you can pay via the below QR code or [email protected]
I will reach out to each entrant with a confirmation of entry as and when paid.

Sponsored for the Event will be as always Anglers Only I’ll supply some goodies with money raised through entries and this year we are proud to have The Art of Fishing partnering which will give us a good little prize dump.
As previously though this event isn’t about stacks of prizes etc it’s more about celebrating the social and fun aspect of getting together with friends and having a blast at the Bass!

I will create the cards you can save in the next few weeks and as with the other events there will be a code word which will be announced as and when.

More news will follow and I’ll keep this page up to date with info as I get it.

Sooooo trade/consumer shows all done and dusted!!!

Time to crack on and get this years Devon Bass Bash sorted and the finer “deets” out!

The Art of Fishing have joined up with us this year and hopefully they can get a few more eyes onto the comp and it naturally works with my (Danny) relationship with them through brands I already work with!

Regards to the actual comp it’ll be pretty much as it’s always been a great casual/social event and we very much look forward to returning Anglers albeit some extra goodies supplied by the AOF crew!!!

Well………. The next chapter should be a gooden!

With preparations for the Lure Festival 2025 in full swing we thought we'd let you in on a little secret. One was never enough was it...........?

So as previously discussed………

How about a 1 and a half dayer on the 13th and 14th of Jan……..

This will be a challenge for some of the less local lads but ultimately anything goes out there…….

Tides are chosen on a central Devon location so obviously there will be a slight variance from south/north etc.

Thinking along the lines all day Sat (12.01am to again a 4pm finish on Sunday at Exeter Angling)

Due to this probably drawing much less interest as this is a tough time of year but I feel it’ll certainly hone the skills when most Bass guys are packed away to spring.

£10 entry again and I’ll sort a trophy and hopefully some partnerships for a couple prizes.

I’ll pin this post and would ask anyone who’s keep to comment below so I have a rough idea
