𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱

Yesterday morning I had to have a little motivational/mindset check in with myself whilst I sat in the gym changing room.

One part of my mind was like yep…’I’m ready to lift’…the other part was like…’can we go back to bed?’

My body felt tired.

I’m still aching from Tuesdays sesh.

And I’m due on next week!

Now before some of you squirm and think TMI…this is really important.

You see some of you are venturing into the unknown this January and trying new fitness classes, hitting the gym…

And you may feel how I felt yesterday morning…and want to sack it all off for good.

So ladies…I ask you to pay close attention to your monthly cycle and how you feel.

This plays a big part in your performance, what you can do, your enjoyment in exercise…and so much more.

Listen to you body.

It’s only the 11th of January and if I sack it all off because it feels hard today…well…there’s not much hope.

But because I track my cycle, monitor my feelings emotionally and physically I know this is temporary and I adjust my training around it.

Then I can still feel like a warrior and still be making progress.

Sometimes at this time in my month, my training sessions look like a hot salt bath and nap!

I’m not even joking.

Get clued up on your body if you haven’t already, it’s a game changer for your mindset around your goals and training.

There’s nothing worse than not liking what you see in the mirror.

Ultimately in this world it’s just you.

You entered the world as you.

You will leave it as you.

You can have kids and a family, pets, friends etc.

But when you’re stood naked in the mirror none of those people really matter, nor does their opinion.

Comments like “I love you just the way you are”, “I don’t think you need to lose weight”, “I think you look amazing…” etc etc as kind as they may have been meaning…it’s absolute BS and carrys no weight what so ever.

But feeling s**t in yourself and disliking what you see in the mirror carry’s a hell of a lot more.

So as you embark on a new fitness and health regime this January, or just get back to biz after letting your hair down over the festive period…remember this post.

Others peoples opinions of your physique carry no weight and will not remove the excess body fat from your body or make you feel content with where you are.

So get super clear with yourself on what you want to achieve, put your blinkers on and head straight forward!

Stop repeating the same song.

Just because you’ve been listening to the same track on repeat, it doesn’t mean you can’t change it up.

You hold the power.

No one else.

You decide when enough is enough.

You decide to set yourself free from the cycle and mix it up.

Think about your children.

Think about the years of your life you’ll gain back by being healthier and happier.

Think about how much better life will feel all round!

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

My Story

I have almost 10 years industry experience and heeps of passion for helping others achieve their goals.

I have worked for big corporate gyms, in a small private studio in the City of London and now I freelance around the lovely city of Exeter teaching group fitness classes and training people on a 1-2-1 basis from my home studio.

My passion lies in weight training and nutrition. I have found combining the two has given both myself and my clients fantastic results. Weight training has empowered me as a female and I love sharing that with my clients and helping them grow, progress and hit their goals.

Exercise is vital in maintaining a balance with both physical and mental health. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my experience of that as well as my knowledge with those around me.
